Wilson Alexia V seating distance

I haven't had my dealer out to calibrate my speakers as I've been working on some remodel work.  But I noticed in the manual for seating distance is says:

"The listening position should ideally be no more than 1.1 to 1.25 times the distance between the tweeters on each speaker."

Does this mean I should be sitting between 1.1x and 1.25 times the tweeter width?  Or does no more than 1.1x mean that I could sit closer than 1.1x.

Let's say my tweeter width is 10 feet to make it simple.  Does that mean I need to sit between 11 feet and 12.5 feet away?  Or just closer than 11 feet....

Thank you!

Sitting closer you reduce some of the reflections.
It’s important to consider how far the speakers are positioned from the front and side walls, how far are they apart and the distance between listening chair to the back wall.
Size of the room, any openings to either or both sides, room acoustics treatments, etc.

What Wilson states in the manual is good as a guideline.
If closer or further works better for you, then that’s your optimal set up.

@chauncey if moving speakers, make small changes. Go in increments of 1/4” to 1/2” at a time. Not more than that. Take your time to evaluate. Use several reference tracks. Wilson speakers are super sensitive to placement. Take your time with it. It’ll all come together when you find that optimal placement. I recommend using laser distance measure, set to meters as UOM. Gives you very fine measurements in mm. This is especially useful for speaker to walls distance. Don’t do it by eye or using regular tape measure. Not accurate enough.
