Why such a huge price difference? Chord SignatureXL speaker cable

I’m interested in purchasing Chord SignatureXL cables and I just happened to come across futureshop in the UK. I’m located in the US. US dealers have them listed for $2400 for a 2.5m pair. Futureshop has them with shipping to the US for like 750-800 British Sterling. All together that is less than $1000.  What gives? I would think the US dealers pay more than that just to get a set?
