@kofibaffour can you suggest me good TRS to XLR cables for input and output connection?
Which speakers are ideal to pair with a Yamaha as3200
Good morning everyone! I kindly ask you for advice on which speakers could be ideal to pair with my new Yamaha s3200 amplifier
I currently have some Kef LS50 meta but I would like to make a qualitative leap.
I have to buy Bookshelf with a maximum depth of 36 cm and a maximum width of 25
I'll also post a photo of the room. The important thing would be a large stage and a detailed sound... I won't listen to them at very high volume and I also have a Kef KC62 sub available that I can match in case.
Budget: Up to 6000 euros
My current ideas: ATC SCM20psl, ProAC D2R, Platinum 100 audio monitor
Thank you so much

@ercubano801, yes, I can. Two of this links the Goldnote XLR outs to the TRS input on the Flex balanced Two of this links the TRS outputs from the Flex balanced to the power amp |
Dear @kofibaffour
I wanted to update you on the situation. I purchased the balanced minidsp flex with the cables you suggested. Everything is ok except for the turntable connection that via the minidsp is very bad, it crackles even at low volume values while if I use the streamer if I set the minidsp volume to maximum and use the amplifier to manage the volume it also crackles while if I keep it around -20 db it goes better and does not distort ... the thing that worries me most however is the turntable, truly terrible ... is it possible that it is a question of cables? or incompatibility with the prephono (Goldnote PH-10 connected to a technics 1200 gr2 with MC audio technica cartridge) ... I await your kind feedback, thanks Technics-->RCA-->Goldnote-->XLR output to TRS input -->MiniDsp-->TRS output 1-2 to XLR input of Yamaha s3200 |
* Crucial: Optimize Gain Staging on MiniDSP Flex. Download Software: Ensure the MiniDSP Flex control software is installed on a computer. * Input Calibration: With music playing from both the Eversolo (via USB) and the Goldnote PH-10 (via balanced input), monitor the input meters within the MiniDSP software. Adjust the input gain for each input (USB and Balanced) down until the meters no longer show clipping (going into the red) even at the loudest peaks of the music. This is paramount. * Output Volume: Once input gains are set, set the MiniDSP’s master digital volume to a fixed optimal level, perhaps around -10dB to -20dB (as it seems to work for the streamer). Then, use the Yamaha AS3200’s volume knob for overall listening level. This prevents the Yamaha’s input from being overloaded. * Crucial: Turntable Grounding Technics to Goldnote: Ensure the dedicated ground wire from the Technics 1200 GR2 is firmly connected to the ground terminal on the Goldnote PH-10. * Goldnote Ground: If the Goldnote has its own ground terminal and it’s not connected to the main system’s ground, try connecting it to the ground terminal on the Yamaha AS3200. * MiniDSP Ground: Some users find success connecting the chassis of the MiniDSP (if it has a ground screw) to the chassis of the primary amplifier (Yamaha AS3200) with a separate wire. * Inspect Cables: Even if new, re-seat all TRS and XLR cables to ensure they are fully plugged in and secure. Also you can try plugging into your wall wart directly
