Where should the Whale Elite rest?

I keep my Whale in salt water, just like they do in the big tank at Marine Land. Hang on a minute while I plug it in and see what happens. Oh shhii......t, I'm totaly shocked at how good this thing is.

MikE -My reference audio system craves tight natural bass. With the Whales installed in the system it was one of the best upgrades I did. I use to have a mix barrel of power cords, King Cobra v1, NBS statement and Fatman. I only kept the Fatman on my amp, but may go to a 5th Whale to keep everything in sync.

Timber>Four Whales! My God! I've got two plugged into my Shunyata Hydra PLC. Did you notice, if applicable, that with each succesive Whale that you were getting too much of its signature in the System. I'm assuming your running Whales exclusively, I'm using Vioers and Sidewinders in addition. Specifically, was/is the bass over the top with four Whales?

I have 4 Whales and have impressive results hooked up to the
PS 600 power plant. I have all my equipment plugged into it except the power amp. It was night and day when I hooked up the Whale. The Whale brought the soundstage out and dynamics with very tight bass.

HaH! Guy came over last weekend, a cable and cord hound, and he was impressed by the heft of the "Big Boys"!

Sorry, but can't resist.....You must have BIG listening rooms compared to mine to fit in all those mammals. Do they cause reflection problems with that shiny skin? Hose 'em down every few hours to keep them living?

I have two Whales, one on my transport and another on my MPS power supply feeding my dac / jitter filter. IMS, the transport is the most critical, then MPS, finally amp. Oh yeah the PLC, I'm using the Shunyata Hydra w/the Sidewinder. It uses a twist-lok connector so experimenting is not possible. I'm sure the Whale would work there as well. MikE

Glen and Rev joe, good answers. My biggest improvement is with my transport. I do not use a power conditioner presently.

I have 3 Whales and currently not using a power conditioner. But talkig with other Whale owners who are using power conditioners they had great results. It seems like the Whale thrives on high current such as a big amp or power conditioner if you have the bulk of your system plugged into it. I personally have greatest improvements on the 1st preamp & 2nd power amp and then the dac.

Once you clean up the power to the power conditioner. Then everything down line is getting cleaner power. Assuming all your gear is plugged into the power conditioner.
