Alan Stivell ‎- Journée À La Maison (Un Dewezh 'Barzh 'Gêr) (Rounder 1981) [Eur release 1978]
Porcelain Raft ‎- Strange Weekend (Secretly Canadian 2012)

Recorded in a Brooklyn basement. Recommended.

Walt Michael And Tom McCreesh ‎- Dance, Like a Wave of the Sea (Front Hall 1978)

Bluegrass with some vocals. Fiddles, dulcimer, chicken clucks, the whole shebang. Awesome. Very good recording. Buy it.

Pulp ‎– Different Class (Plain Recordings 2014 RE 180 [1995])

A masterpiece and must have in every collection. Not exactly audiophile but essential. The original LP goes for $500. I have the original cassette!
On the Town soundtrack. Broadway 1971. On Columbia Masterworks. Clean dynamic detailed recording.
Just bought this on Amazon for $5 and change. The Black Swans -Don't Blame The Stars. Check it out.

@tomic601 Many fond memories of LC as a teenager hanging with hippy chicks on beanbags singing along with the man. Not kidding. Yeah, Sharon Robinson is great on TNSongs. The Live in London concert (superb triple LP) on DVD is a masterpiece. "The fabulous Webb Sisters"
Strawbs ‎– Grave New World (A&M 1972)

Brit folk replete with brass. NM/NM copy with booklet scored in Newbury Comics for $3.
Sweet recording and album (with a little 70s transistor hash.)

Strawbs ‎– Strawbs (A&M Records 1969)

Forgot how great these guys were. Literally freakin' A.

Leonard Cohen - Death of a Ladies' Man (Columbia 1977)

Oft' overlooked Phil Spector masterpiece.

Jennifer O’Connor ‎– Over The Mountain, Across The Valley And Back To The Stars (Matador 2006)

A little like 10,000 Maniacs without the charm of Natalie Merchant. Some worthy numbers. 'Tonight We Ride'

LOL on Natalie M. Had front row seats back in the 80s. Went up to her after the show. Nice.
Patti Smith - Horses (Arista 1975)

Never liked this album. Gave it another spin. I suppose it was avant garde in its day.
Alexander ’Skip’ Spence ‎- Oar (CBS 1969)

One weird but great album. Dude died homeless and LSD nuts at 52, I believe. There used be a record store named after this album.

Jean Redpath With Abby Newton ‎– Father Adam (Philo ‎1979)

Transcendent.

Lotte Lenya ‎- September Song And Other American Theatre Songs Of Kurt Weill (Columbia Masterworks 1958 mono)

@Uberwaltz H&Mighty was my first UHeep LP. New in a bargain bin in the 70s. Interesting album.

I hear you on the 25 acres. Property taxes scare the cr-p outta me for retirement. Where do you come up with $200 a week for the rest of your life with no income? So much for freedom.
Actually @nkphoto,

It was @uberwaltz that first posted tonight about The Strawbs. I just like seeing the right people getting their due.
@slaw  Unless I missed something, I do believe you're wrong on this. I posted two Strawbs albums tonight.
Conor Oberst ‎– Salutations (Nonesuch 2017)

Great album. Buy it. Dude with all the emotion of a woman. In a good way.
I've had this up on the second system many times but today I played it on the primary with the ESLs. Wow.

Martin Stephenson & The Daintees ‎– Boat To Bolivia (Kitchenware 1986)

Magic. Met him a few times.

The Weavers ‎– Reunion At Carnegie Hall, Part 2 (Vanguard 1965)

@slaw Hey Steve!

The Walkabouts ‎- Satisfied Mind (Sub Pop 1993)

Worth it alone for the cover of Nick Cave's Loom of the Land.

Robin Williamson ‎– Songs Of Love And Parting (Claddagh 1981)

Beautiful album. Recommended.
Roy Harper ‎– Flat Baroque And Berserk (Harvest 1970)

Not the greatest recording but a great album. Includes I Hate the White Man and Another Day. Recommended.
Yeah, tomic601, I'm going to try out some more of these Audiophile label records.
I have that Jim Kweskin lp @noromance but it's pretty beat up

@slaw Mine is in good nick but it's just not the recording quality the music deserved. Shame.
@slaw About which system... well one doesn't have ESLs and has a sub. So I tend to listen to rock on that one. I generally don't post what's on the turntable when I'm on that one. It also has DVD/streaming and a TV so I'll watch music or the odd show on that. The ESL system is for critical listening and does sound better.
Conor Oberst - Salutations
Joe Williams - A Man Ain't Supposed to Cry
Billy P. Corgan ‎- Ogilala
Current 93 - The Light Is Leaving Us All
The Mary Kaye Trio ‎– Night Life (20th Century Fox 1964 mono)

Fender released the "Mary Kaye" Stratocaster from 1958.
She's known as the “First Lady of Rock and Roll” for her guitar-driven, calypso-tinged, swing music back in the day.
Carmen McRae ‎– Bittersweet (Focus 1964 mono)

Miss Jazz from Harlem. Piano and voice. Magic.

Florian Zabach ‎– 'Till The End Of Time (Mercury 1959 mono)

Violin to melt your heart. A little shmaltzy with the orchestra sometimes but the warmth of the recording is off the charts.
Rodrigo, Villa-Lobos, John Williams, English Chamber Orchestra, Daniel Barenboim – Concierto De Aranjuez / Concerto For Guitar (CBS 1972)
Patti Page ‎– Indiscretion (Mercury 1959 mono)

Piano, upright bass, girl with a long-stemmed cigarette holder making eyes at the pianist, smoke and strong whisky.

Joan Merrill ‎– How Did He Look? (Westminster 1958)

Stags Leap Artemis. A loving shoulder. Slow dance. What more do you need?
Hawkwind ‎– Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music (Charisma 1976)

Steppenwolf... a masterpiece.
