Well with all of the posting I failed to mention the current lp about to end..Bill Callahan "Apocalypse"
@tomic601 ,

The Doug MacLeod lp you be sent me is really my favorite one on RR.
That must have been a demo disc in your retail days.

@reubent ,

What about Mark’s covers of "Long Distance Runaround" just to mention one. Wow!

Then "Silly Little Love Songs", "All Mixed Up".....
Wow! How wonderful!
With @boxer12 problem, I feel strongly about ( not rubbing anything into it), hence steaming it off.

This is were my passionate obsession comes into play.

I think my immaginerey listening partner will agree
Keith Richards "Main Offender"

I assume it’s an OP.

EU pressing. SQ is great!
"Dream River" deserved a good steam/US clean. Up again soon.

A great record!
Jim,

If you feel a need to catch up,.., .
I was going to wait on you but......
I've had many issues with Audiogon with changing profile pictures  Tammy is supposed to be working on it.

And I can't change mine at All. You can seemingly change yours at a whim!
Listening to Journey reminds me of cruising in my 1978 Datsun 280 Z

A little coke a cola was involved
At that time I was in to Pioneer.
On the Gov't Mule lp, they just nail the essence of these 6 Stones songs...….what a great band!
@reubent,

Thanks. I have "Bloodletting" on cd only so I rarely hear it. I have their "S/T" lp which I like a lot. Glad to know that regarding Rare Earth since I have a soft spot for them.

……………………..
@6t5-gto,

That sounds great. I waited too late, as I was gonna order the mono.
………………………….
Up soon,

Bruce Cockburn "The Trouble With Normal"
Gov’t Mule "Stoned Side of The Mule Vol. 2"
Steven Wilson "Home Invasion" box
Early on, into "Home Invasion"...........the listening experience is somewhat different from Steven's studio lps. However, it is a good thing. So far, there's nothing over the top. The sound is natural and spacious.
I checked my VTF and it was on the heavy side. Interestingly, this was causing a bright presentation.

I’m pulling out Suzanne Vega "Beauty & Crime" next on Classic Records next....
Liz Phair "Whip-Smart"

I don't mean to be a smart-ass...the ORB record flattener is a great addition to my listening regimen.
@reubent ,

It's odd but that little adjustment to VTF made ALL the difference in the world. That is what has been lacking today.
Several years ago, I found a 2 lp book-bound copy of Joy Division "Still"  from Italy. It's on right now.
Hey @big_greg,
……….........……….
Alison Moyet "Alf"   Japanese pressing/SQ=EX

I never have invested in any Ramones yet. Why?...I just chalk it up to a personal failure.

I seem to have not found my "groove" yet tonight. Although "Alf" is a great start.
I think what everyone just witnessed was my fairly new cartridge at a moment of final break-in,(adjustment required).

Walter Trout "Blues for the Modern Daze"

"Dazes" ...personally I hate it when the (z) replaces the,(in this case) the ys
@bdp24 ,

That lp was one I picked up recently (fairly recently/within the last year) because of your posts. I may have (just lucked up)?

I credit you as the one who turned me on to Buddy & Julie Miller
@bdp24 ,

You know I love you, but the Buddy Miller lps I own sound VERY good.!

The definition of "audiophile recording" is subjective, however, I don't feel the need to defend the SQ of the BM lps I own. I think they stand up to 95% of the lps coming out now.
@bdp24 ,

I don't think I paid anywhere near $30.00 for that Buddy Miller lp. However, I wonder.... Maybe it's just me but when I think of the cost of a live show (which is a one time deal), the drive there and back, probably a meal, drink....and weigh that against a nice lp that I can listen to anytime I choose, I don't find $30.00 overly priced in that context.
@bdp24 ,

Could you tell us what a standard contract between the record label vs. artist entails and what the artist cut is?
Rod Stewart "Every Picture Tells a Story"  MFSL/Silver Label

One of my very first lps I ever bought...……...
In a little while, I hope to play:

Adelle "Skyfall" 7"/45rpm
Walter Egan "Magnet & Steel" 7"/45rpm
