There is an IMO excellent article in The New Yorker:

My Obsession with Desert Island Discs

i had no idea it ( the BBC show ) dated to 1942. There are some 2k archived - some as podcasts....
Eric Clapton - There’s One In Every Crowd...

” Don’t Blame Me “... so suits the mood
I can attest that Alison MoFi is off the charts sonic wonder.
thanks for all well wishes - Trish did telemedicine appointment and she is not so far displaying COVID19 symptoms- Tamiflu a precautionary move.
so far the Labrador and I are doing well.
well wishes to all w family and loved ones on the front lines...
War Dept. On Tamiflu, super low SPL here - hoping the Stax are in box I brought down from Seattle....
War Dept bounce is good
i slept thru the great flurry of disc’s y’all spun last eve!!!! What an endurance festival

New Riders was a staple along with Dead, Quicksilver, ....
James Taylor - Flag ( MoFi Gain 2 # 240 of ? ), very nice pressing and sonics so far....

Hi James! How are you in CA? I'm in PA and hunkered down. Most of my albums are here with me, but the one you want is across town, I believe. I do have many Hamps here: Pick any two and I will ship for free: Hampton, The Works; Lionel Hampton Sentimental Journey; Wailin' at the Trianon; Hamp in Japan; Hamp Cookin' in the Kitchen; Apollo Hall Concert 1954.

Thanks and apologies!

Todd

IF there is reincarnation, Martin Barre would be on my relatively short list of guitarist to come back as.....
And to all the new or quasi infrequent posters - welcome and so glad you are here ! This is my favorite thread on Audiogon and probably the reason I stay - YOU are appreciated here :-)

jim
Spirit: I am starting to think “ Gray’s Anatomy “ got the better end of the deal...

probably due to my youthful penchant for street racing I prefer Darkness on The Edge of Town

but in German translated into Merican  it would be: and I blew that BMW off my back
7 remaining sellers on Discogs- I got aced out by Boxer12 while I was out meandering with ancient Labrador- no worries:-) there is a minty disc left in America !!!!
@noromance was hoping you had heard and could recommend as I had ordered the mono disc you recommended a week or so ago but the seller can’t put hands on it. No worries:-)
Boxer12 it’s great swamp rock... country tinged, blues.... funky driving grooves... great lyrics

“ she is as tall as she is wide
i can’t believe she’s mine “

...
OK let’s take a different run at it @slaw

in a constrained world of limited LP storage aka under the quasi watchful eye of the war Dept. What should be my next TJW vinyl purchase ?????
Uber - War Dept and I caught Loverboy for Valentine’s Day concert one year - small casino venue, very loud, red leather pants... what a hoot
Got to bake a social distancing chocolate birthday cake for War Dept. Today....
Watched Motherless Brooklyn last eve - solid and IMO soundtrack is awesome- streaming it now....
“ a smile that tells a story

as sad and deep as you

eyes that are the windows

eyes that are the view “

Dave Mason
I agree @slaw just listening to the digital the more refined rhythm guitar and drum kit are worth throwing caution to the wind and ordering Goat on vinyl
Uber he was here for a post... this thread can’t provide enough ego strokes to be a positive cost / benefit....

but sadly my audiogon experience shrinks every day....
Uber - I wanted to be Jaco briefly before I came to realize what a towering talent he was... as I stumbled around the fret board.... ha

his story ends very sadly... one worth looking at as we consider a compassion zero society..,,
Stack of vinyl arrived.. last two days..

Linda Thompson- One Clear Moment
I do understand loosing the baseline with changes. I purposely put 100 hours on the AQ- Fire Phono cable before slipping in the Herron... both are jelling....
