@kenwood61,

Welcome to the best thread on Audiogon.

Songs : Ohia  "Love & Work" (The Lioness Sessions)
Just echoing here what others have said about the Patty Griffin "S/T" lp.
It's a wonderful record!
Well, if the 1st lp from "American Treasure" is any indication of what is yet to come, I’m a very happy camper!.

Going by my musical memory, it's rivaling the first studio box.
Patty Griffin "1000 Kisses"   re-listen
Patty Griffin "S/T" ...….. later
@uberwaltz,

I'm trying to understand. You have a great system. You've invested in a great vinyl playback.

You seem to want to "cheep out" on the source of your investment. IE: bargain bin lps. I understand the motive, I understand your intent...but IMO, it doesn't make sense. Could you convince me why?
Getting ready to start into the Tom Petty "American Treasure" box I recently found as a 2018 RSD issue. I've only made it through the first (2) lps of Anthology. A lotta listening ahead...…………..
I've listened to the first two lps from "American Treasure". I can confidently say...if you're a fan still sitting on the fence trying to decide if you should get the 1st or 2nd box sets, or even the "Anthology", get "American Treasure"! You'll not be disappointed.
Digging deep back into Songs:Ohia (Love & Work) "The Lioness Sessions"...……….the second lp .
@uberwaltz,

Thank you for your impassioned response. It proved to me that I may have had an uninformed look into your world. I commend you for your ongoing search for great music!
Tedeschi/Trucks Band "High & Mighty" RSD/4 song EP/45rpm   oh yeah...turn it up!
@johnto ,

I found a near M /WLP of "Daughters of Time" a few months back. Really nice music.
Jade Imagine "What The F___ Was I Thinking" on Courtney Barnett's Milk Records. One of the newer artists to watch. Took over 6 months to receive it from Australia....first the fires, then covid.
@rvpiano,

Those original JT are very nice! Been waiting on my order of his last lp (45rpm/dbl) for a while now.
@tomic601 ,

I hate it when you let friend borrow something and they seemingly lose all consideration with returning the item quickly.
Shawn Colvin "Steady On"/1989/CBS. Probably the most played record I own, and deservedly so. Great!
The offer of lead shot is open to anyone regularly posting on this thread. Shipping on you.
Thanks @rvpiano,

Chris Isaak "San Francisco Days" Reprise/1993/Op/UK/Germany. Another excellent record all ’round!

Chris Isaak "Wicked Game" Reprise/1991/OP/UK/France.  Another excellent record!

both going in the US cleaner for later.

@tomic601 ,

Do you have everything to set speed on the SOTA? If you need a SOTA Stroboscope, I have one. I actually have lead shot as well.
I know I'm mostly alone here in saying I like Neil Diamond. However, I wish you all would check out Chris Isaak's cover of "Solitary Man".
Listening to Big Star, got me thinking about The Box Tops. Pulled out my pp/Bell Records/ "Cry Like a Baby" and US cleaned. Turns out to be a 1A copy on both sides.
Big Star (Complete Columbia) "Live @ University of Missouri 4/25/93"

RSD. Became available later on. Really nice set!
Radiohead "King of Limbs"

@boxer12,

Someone recently posted, why they could never find a quiet copy? I bought my sealed 12" copy, from a used vinyl seller and it has ticks/pops. They had other open copies. I made a novice mistake since I have no recourse. Love the music. Those are the breaks. The condition isn’t as bad as I made it seem since I have the in- house vinyl rescue operation.

BTW, ever heard Atoms For Peace? I own one lp entitled "AMOK". Includes Thom Yorke, Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker. Very Similar to "KOL" in most respects.
Well Jim, when you’ve been into anything for 30+ years, somehow things just come your way.
Up now "Cry Like a Baby".

Sometimes the Record Gods shine down. Apparently, I was in the right place at the right time. Stopped into a record store on my way to a concert..............

Now I know what it's like to be Jim.....ha ha.....
@big_greg,

I have "The Nightfly" domestic & Japan. Never noticed any real/substantive difference in past listening.
