Cowboy Junkies "All That Reckoning"

My second listen confirms that this title seems to lack the "soul" of quite a few of their earlier lps.
@n80,

Invitation is still open my friend....

There is a list of threads on Audiogon…. the "audio clubs" is near the bottom. Having said that, I @n80  'd you
The rest (other lp) from Jason Molina's Love & Work (The Lioness Sessions). WOW!
Was thinking about writing a long essay about my thoughts on "Wallflower", "Privateering", "American Standard" regarding their SQ, and their comparative similarities.

I'm in a listening mode, plus didn't won't to put others to sleep.

Will say, the JT lp was far and away the SQ champion.
@n80,

I haven't heard them all nor the one you refer to, if I had there would likely be more, but here are my favorites in order:

"The Trinity Sessions"
"The Trinity Sessions Revisited"
"Whites Off Earth Now" (MFSL)
"Demons" ( this is in memory of Vic Chesnutt )
"Sing in my Meadow"
"The Wilderness"

The MCC lp is wonderful. It plays dead quiet. It did arrive warped.
………………………………...
Shovels & Rope "Little Seeds"

Side one was is so warped I won't play it until I flatten it.
The only way to try and top that......

Aretha Franklin "Aretha's Gold"    MFSL/45rpm
Jackie Brown Soundtrack ……..warped, yet sounding very good. In addition to the music, it’s pretty cool hearing Sam Jackson delivering several of his signature lines in your listening room.
Curious if any of you own "Central Reservation" on Classic Records or regular pressing?
I decided "Smokin'" is just going to wait until after...
Sufjan Stevens "Illinoise"
Regarding:  Eels "The Deconstruction"...…..

When "Wonderful, Glorious" was released a few years ago, it was kind of a big deal in certain circles. So, what happened here?

I don't know but it's sounding really good. I'd say it deserves at least, the attention "W,G" received. If you're a fan, you should seek it out.
@boxer12,

Do you find several cuts to be distorted?
I just thought I’d ask. I feel positive that the pressing issues are confined to the Classic. They had a lot of problems early on. Most of the one’s I/I’ve owned problems' were limited to lots of pops and clicks.
MC5 "The Motor City Five" ROG

vinyl is dead flat

Having this thread to myself is somewhat unusual...…………….
Hey @big_greg,

A while back I was reading a thread about best ways to attach acoustic panels to walls that can be easily removed. Came upon your suggestion of Xfasten double-sided tape. Immediately bought some, just now using it. Very nice!
Works in perfectly on my Vicoustic diffussors. Seems strong enough to use on ceilings.
