Uber,

Was looking at your system page. Where's the Musical Surroundings phono?
Going to restart Ten Years After "Live From the Fillmore East"....from last week. (Surprisingly good sonics, very clear like it was recorded recently.)
I felt the need to pull out "Big Station" Alejandro Escovedo before Patricia.

I'm going to try and complete my vinyl outings from AE this Black Friday weekend.
@uberwaltz,

Regarding compatibility.....before I installed the Omega+ mats in my breaker box, I already had Bybee iQSEs inside all major components and 8 HFC MC 0.5s. After reading those two products weren’t compatible with the PPT stuff, I removed all of the HFC stuff to great effect. Dynamics increased. Not to say they are inferior, just not compatible.

The other day I removed the iQSEs out of my phono stage and installed Herbie’s tube dampers. Could tell a slight increase in dynamics.

Last evening, was fooling around with the two iQSEs I had extra and began placing them everywhere in my system. Could easily tell they had a darkening effect except when I put them on top of the VPI motor housing.

Lots of fun!
"Full Moon Fever". This lp has never been my go to TP lp for listening because it was so commercialized. It really sounds as about as good as one will ever hear it on vinyl as it does here, from the box.

Yes, I’m feeling involved in my listening now...…..

Really. I can always count on Tom Petty. No _hit! The first time I've been able to listen and enjoy one record in the last 9 or so hours without starting to think about (life).

On to side 2.
Finished listening to Chicago "S/T" /Rhino  ….no match for Transit Authority my friends. All night, I've been searching for something to get my juices flowing. Well, I just cleaned Tom Petty "Full Moon Fever". While he usually comes through for me, this was the next lp out of the box, I've yet to listen to. I like to go in order. Hopefully, this may get me going?
Did a deep clean on "Pretzel Logic". Picked it up at a record show a while back. Was marked as 1st pressing. It is the ABC black label but I’m not an expert on the matrix numbers. Yesterday, the first track sounded much darker than the rest of the album. I thought overall it could or should be more open. We’ll see.

That really helped.... nodding head/tapping feet now!
Finally, PB. Starting with my least favorite of her first (5 ?) lps, "Verse".  Much more of what I'd call an experimental jazz outing by her band, and less of the artist’ voice.
@pastoriuos,

Well that makes more sense to me, anyway. Usually, however, mono records are fairly quiet IME.
@tomic601,

I guess you meant to write (anybody) instead of (August body)?
Bob Dylan "30thAnniversary Concert Celebration" OP

The Lou Reed set is fantastic!
@bdp24 ,

Yeah! Terry Evans "Puttin' It Down" is on the Audioquest label. All of their records have EX SQ.
@uberwaltz,

Your mention of Graham Parker has me wanting to play "The Mona Lisa’s Sister". Thanks.

A clinic in Pop,Rock.
Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings "dap dippin' with...…

RIP SHARON! You were a positive force of nature!
!ESPANA! was a very enjoyable sonic experience! It's been too long since I last listened. I admit to being very slightly cultured.
……………………..

The Teskey Brothers "Half Mile Harvest" ….get it!...you won't regret it.

@uberwaltz,

Isn’t it great, (as a fellow music lover), to have the equipment necessary to bring dirty vinyl back to life, for our enjoyment? Love it!

Tommy Bolin "Private Eyes"  / Speakers Corner
The Watson Twins "Talking To you, Talking To Me".   Some of you may know them from their collaboration with Jenny Lewis on "Rabbit Fur Coat".
This record is a sleeper. Much better than I initially thought years ago. SQ is EX!
!ESPANA!  Argenta/The London Symphony Orchestra.

I think it's Speakers Corner. No markings which they're famous for.

Talking about dynamics...WOW!!!
That record sounded good last weekend. I went through my cartridge set-up 2 days ago...need I say more. That record sounds fantastic! So much more body, and THE word I like to use...SOUL. yeah man, that's what I'm talkin' about!
Silly Sisters / Maddy Prior & June Tabor "S/T" on Shanachie Records, from 1976. That has got to be an OP. Listening to this one, I’m just waiting for Richard Thompson to play in. Just wishing. SQ = EX!

While listening, I was trying to think where I obtained this lp. Then...I remembered, it was from my neighbor down the street. This lp is an almost perfect traditional folk record. The jacket is M-/vinyl sounds M. I’m a lucky guy.
@uberwaltz, @reubent ,

@gosta. If my memory is correct.

WOW! That lp sounds fantastic!

I have the 45rpm record in my possession, Side 1 = "I Get Up"/ side 2 = "Say You’ll Do". I’m saving it for a special occasion.
Wow! @reubent ,

That $35 for Sheryl Crow is slightly high. You can feel good by making the correct decision.

Well, (first time on vinyl?, I'm pretty sure)...if it was 200gram,dbl lp,@45rpm...now we're talkin'!
