Taj Mahal "S/T"...that's what I'm talking about! |
U2 "Pop"...… sides 1 & 2 are really good Thompson Twins "Here’s to Future Days"....just wanted to here it again after 20 + years, production is very good, I always enjoyed this record.
|
Grateful Dead "In The Dark"...…….excellent sonics! |
Ten Years After "A Space In Time" |
|
Aldo Nova "Subject"
shwooooh………….(wiping sweat off of farhead..)………….
|
|
Remember @6t5-gto.. the MFSL was from years ago and certainly not at 45 rpm.
Good luck and please report back here.
|
|
Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show "S/T" |
AC/DC "Who Made Who" …….can I hear a Hell Yeah? |
@boxer12,
On my second listen to "King of Limbs". I love it! |
@tomic601 ,
Your lp is ready my friend. I'll send the shipping info later. |
Well I'm not a The Band afficianotto, but having an old worn early pressing as my only way to judge, I bought the 45 rpm pressing from a couple years ago. Of coarse it was an improvement but haven't listened in a while. Ask our The Band expert...@bdp24. |
Cracker "Kerosene Hat" MOV |
Joe Walsh "Barnstorm"... op Nitty Gritty Dirt Band "Will the Circle be Unbroken" Vol Two /op
|
@stevecham
I do my best.
……………………………………
Gillian Welch "The Harrow and the Harvest" The Fixx "Phantoms"
|
@fixedincome,
Which pressing are you listening to? I have the 50th Anniversary coming in soon.
|
John Hiatt "Slow Turning" /op |
Hey @uberwaltz,
I get it. Unfortunately, Mint Tractor seems to be located in Hong Kong. This presents so many issues now.
I've been waiting for an lp coming from Australia for over 4 weeks now. |
|
@uberwaltz,
You have the right one brother.. the Dire Straits. that is. |
Muddy Waters "Folk Singer" MFSL/33rpm |
Remember the Dire Straits lps were recorded in a studio setting. "Big Pink" in a rented/gifted house. |
I think The Band "Big Pink" on MFSL was from decades ago I would hope the 50th Anniversary release on 45rpm would be superior. |
Uber,
This is where experience comes into play. You’ve got to ask yourself, why, over 4 decades on, does the MFSL lp not command top dollar? This, by one of the most influential bands ever? Just like the MFSL "Abbey Road"?
When you think about it, your decision is easy! |
@bdp24
I just went for the dbl lp.
|
@boxer12,
You’re past recommendation of Castanets hasn’t gone unnoticed just been lazy. |
|
Yeah, how's the shoulder and the preamp? |
Amy Helm "This Too Shall Light" |
Courtney Barnett "Tell Me How You Really Feel" Derek & The Dominos "Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs" MFSL/45rpm
|
|
@6t5-gto,
I'm still waiting on my copy, I hear it's excellent!
|
Regarding my post above, I mistakenly wrote that the Derek & Dominos lp was a 45 rpm, it is a 33rpm. I’ve never heard a version of this lp that drew me in sonically until I heard this version. I own a first/OP, this one blows it away.
Up next... The Decemberists "I'll Be Your Girl"
|
Tom Petty "An American Treasure" lp 2 |
Thea Gilmore "The Counterweight" 45 rpm/dbl/lp |
I recently discovered Thea. I purchased two of her lps. I’m trying to figure out how to describe her to others. I’d say a cross between Dido and Annie Lennox. That description encompasses a lot of room in-between, which you'll understand what I mean once you hear her. She has a fairly large catalog.
Up next: Jeff Beck "Live +"
|
Wow! The Jeff Beck lp was killer!
Up next.. Nine Inch Nails/David Bowie "Back In Anger/Vol 2"
|
Donald Fagen "Morph The Cat" |
|
Thanks @boxer12, for reminding me that I wanted to hear "Signify" this weekend.
BTW, I made the decision to complete my Son Volt collection. I currently have most coming in within the next week. Some are pricey! Better now than later.
"Signify" is sounding fantastic!...will finish it later...
Right now...Orenda Fink "Blue Dream"!!!
