part of...Roy Orbison "The All-Time Greatest Hits Of.." MFSL

Tom Petty "Highway Companion"

Left the new (to me) motor on all night, noticeable difference.

When I bought the VPI, I let it's motor run a solid week before I put it in my system.
Yes.

Welcome @drrsutliff

The original pressing, (I assume you're talking about the original US pressing) is suppose to be great. Great lp anyhow!

Very Cool! I own the box as well, never heard the original UK though.

Glad to have you posting here. I'm use to "long nights".

Black Crowes "Amorica"
Iron & Wine "Beast Epic"...   First half sounded great!

@tomic601 ,

Your mentioning your poetry, reminded me that I had tried to write songs at one point, but in the end, I felt I came across to literal. I don't have the ability to make subtle/nuanced points that I love to read/hear.
Gregory Alan Isakov "Evening Machines"

I re-US cleaned all my GAI lps today....prior cleaning was the hyper-expensive and overrated Audio Desk.
These arrived yesterday:

Sammy Johns "S/T" going back to my youth, found this minty copy
Radiohead "King of Limbs" sealed
Jerry Jeff Walker "Mr. Bojangles" minty
Pixies "Come on Pilgrim" sealed
Johnathan Wilson "Dixie Blur" 2020/sealed
The Donnas "Spend the Night" RunOutGroove/first time on vinyl/sealed
Sammy Johns "S/T". Probably his only lp as he died fairly young. Remember "Chevy Van"? This is actually a sealed copy, op.

The first track sounds eerily like Chris Hillman! Sammy had a great voice.
@tomic601 ,

Regarding Fleetwood Mac, I just pre-ordered the Early Years 4lp box. Laquers cut by Chris Bellman from the original master tapes. Includes an early live lp, Penguin, Heroes are Hard to Find, and another that escapes me at the moment.
Up now...Jerry Jeff Walker "Mr. Bojangles"  Atco/purple over tan label/pp
@tomic601 ,

The PG lp has been steamed (twice), then put in the Vibrato for 60 min. I know, based upon my own experience with this lp, the surface noise, which may be the wrong descriptive....more accurately described better as noisy vinyl. After the first steam, I still noticed under good LED light, some possible further issues, so it was re-steamed. Will go in the ORB in a while. Gonna do a quick listen before flattening.

(Remember, a week or two ago, I warned about ATO.)

I have to say when I offered you this deal, I was in no way expecting your sending an lp with it. I do wish to thank you big time for the Doug Macleod "There’s a Time"/ReferenceRecording/45 rpm. The vinyl looks perfect and this is actually THE copy from Doug I lacked on RR. Your a great friend.
Hey @uberwaltz,

The MFSL "Katy Lied" has been my biggest disappointment with that label so far.

Hope you enjoy it!
BTW, @tomic601 ,

In the past, you referred to your inlaws as outlaws. I'm pretty sure I now know where that term came from...........
Well, the more I thought about trying to get my two Dynavector Karat D3 cartridges rebuilt the more I shied away from that prospect. I think I'd be better off trading them in at some point. Got a as new Shelter 501 MkII coming in that I'll install on my Rock 7 to get it up and running again. It's sonic qualities seem to be more in line with my Sussurro and will be a nice cart to have around. Easy for SS to rebuild when the time comes.
@boxer12,

I listened to "Trace" not too long ago....good stuff!

@6t5-gto,

Glad to have another side with me on "Mutations". The only Dead Can Dance lp I own is the original pressing of "Serpents Egg".

@reubent ,

Andrew Bird took me a little while at first to warm up to but really enjoy his stuff that I own. Looking forward at some point hearing his output after "Break it Yourself".

………………………………………………………………..

Beastie Boys "Check Your Head"
….my two cents on "Meddle"...

I use to own the MFSL but sold it years ago after I then thought the UK EMI/Harvest sounded better. I also own the 2016 re-master and the UK blows it away.

The Stray Birds "Magic Fire" …..great SQ!
