.....sometimes during a long listening day, I feel like I'm searchin' for THE record that's going to cap the day. I think I found it in this box set

I just happened to be streaming some of Tobacco City "Horses".....a new to me band.

Reminds me a lot of TFBB. Put it in my Amazon cart as a pre-order.

CSN "boat album"

Analog Productions/Atlantic 75 series/45RPM

been looking forward to this 🎶

The Velvet Underground "Loaded"

Analogue Productions/Atlantic 75 series/45RPM

Cowboy Junkies had a series of 5 lps that were released on Diverse Records as a box and separately as I recall. I bought a few of that series separately. If I recall correctly, the pressing quality slowly became noticeably of lesser quality at that time period

Yeah, Nomad. Nice man!

I remember my favorite being the album dedicated to Vic Chesnutt.

There was one album in that series that was pretty heavy for them. That may have been Demons? But no matter it was/is some great music.

Suzanne Vega "99.9F°"

1992/EU/1st pressing/A&M

My favorite SV album

Magnolia Electric Co. "What Comes After the Blues"

@mofimadness ,

I thought I own all 12" vinyl ( I may be wrong) and think I now have 5 total. I’d start in chronological order.....you won’t be disappointed.

IMO, they have some of the best song writing I’ve heard in a while.

Starflyer 59 "The Changing Of The Guard"

Burnt Toast Vinyl/Tooth & Nail Records

Chuck Prophet "Wake The Dead"

2024/YepRoc

a favorite from last year...

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers "The Last DJ"

2002/Warner Bros

..a forgotten, great effort...

@arizonabob ,

I must have misread your initial post. I agree that a true mono cartridge will sound better on mono recordings than a stereo cartridge summed to mono elsewhere in the signal chain.

@mofimadness ,

Realized while listening to Frank Black, "Show Me Your Tears" was released on Diverse Records.....back when that label was great I own that 🤠
