For me, The Mountain Goats lp comes across as expertly crafted/smartly conceived.
Thanks guys for your understanding.

Just think what some may do with further admissions, (chakster)
@drrsutliff ,

Noticed you play "Future Games" often. It's one of my FM favorites. Have you searched out a superior pressing? I think both of mine are steamboat/Reprise/US.
Jim,

I assume you are AQ all the way with your Vandersteens/relationship?

I was top secret until I decided to share...my brother.
Another cleaning story, listening, again to Low. Earlier, sides 3&4 had many ticks. Probably played it once, 3 years ago. It still had lots of ticks. Put it thru a deep steam, then a 50 minute US cycle.
Playing now, Wow! Tics gone.

Never give up!

Uber,

Interesting, my former Chinese tank, stated a max time of 50 min. Then 10 a ten minute wait before resumming another cycle. The Vibrato has no similar limitations.
Put on first lp, side one from Jimi (purple velvet box),  sounds very transparent. All important musical factors are present. Nice bass.

Meets all my previous expectations.
Uber, once again, interesting you have such differing opinions of those sides?

This suggests to me that something isn't stable in your playback?
After lp one of Hendix, I’ll move on.

To me, the box sounds so present, like you are there.
The Rolling Stones "Miss You" pp

Hate to say it but I took this lp off. I bought it years ago from Tom Port for $20.00. He said it was a good sounding pressing. I can now disagree...sounds grating and in your face.
Simon & Garfunkel "Bookends"
My all time favorite lp. I happened to find my best sounding copy for $1 @ a yard sale.
Jade Imagine "Basic Love"

A (new to me) artist from Courtney Barnett's Milk Records label. When I auditioned it, I ordered both of her lps.
Thanks @ghosthouse. I've needed some Van recommendations as I own very little of his vast catalog. Do own "Period of Transition" though.

I'm glad I'm no critic...to be one seems to be a musical life without joy.

@drrsutliff ,

I was looking @ your system earlier....love your OL TT! A pair of the Townshend speaker isolation platforms are on my wishlist.
A.B.Skhy "Ramblin' On''

Another recent find. MGM/1970/pp

A San Fran rock 'n' roll band. Put out two? Lps.

SQ is VG!
Well @spiritofradio,

You do have a way...of writing that speaks to the soul.
I love that about you.Given my previous posts, I feel confident that anyone waiting for a negative review, will have to wait a very long time.
I just don't think, at the point of time I'm in, this lp will out perform sonically, The Stills lp!
uber,

It depends on several things. In this case, I just knew the record was somewhat darker than it should be. BTW, records will sound better US cleaned at no less than 2" apart.

I’ve never hurt a lp in any of my US cleaners

Put "No Other' through a 50 min./US clean @ 40 C.....opened it up just enough to make it much more enjoyable.
@tomic601 ,

"Passion" is so much more enjoyable with the new interconnects. Open & dynamic.
spirit,

Wow, brother....

I've often wondered how he remembers his loong lyrics....

Glad to know you're a fan.
@mammothguy54,

Thanks;

Did not know about Aqualung  I don't like Chad based upon my conversation with him years ago.

May order it but focusing on SRV "Couldn't Stand The Weather"
I have a new, in box, double boxed, Bob Dylan "The Original Mono Recordings".

 I already have a copy...that I love, BTW.

This one is sealed, I have $180.00 in it. Not looking to make a profit.
Anyone interested?
