|
The Nude Party "S/T"
"I don’t need your love I just need my records"
Fun, enjoyable! |
|
Regarding, "On Every Street", I understand Greg saying that it’s "a little uneven", I think he means the songs seem to have little to no common thread/feeling. Having said that, I really like the album.

John Hiatt "Slow Turning"
1988/A&M
Excellent!
|
Got in Mazzy Star "She Hangs Brightly" . Hope to get to play it this weekend. |
Power has been out here for 5 hours. Freezing rain. |
Gonna get warmed up with "Living in the USA" after a fresh US clean. |
Good to be back Brian. It was very difficult being available to listen but not able to......
|
Power's back on after 13 hours in the dark. Will join you all around 10:00 to give my subs and amp a little time to warm up. |
Donny Hathaway "Live" Atlantic/ATL 40 369 German Pressing/1973 |
After side one... this Mazzy lp seems to be slightly more rockin’?..... sometimes sounding phsycadellic...? Not as the slow introspective that I’m use to. This pressing will benefit from a deep clean tomorrow. Oh yeah, it is tomorrow.... later today. |
Redd Kross "Beyond the Door" |
|
The Redd Kross lp reminds me of The Vines in the song structure and the bands' intensity....very similar. SQ is a little less clear but maybe I shouldn't be judging that since the amps haven't reached optimum thermal temp yet. |
The Rolling Stones "Sticky Fingers" German pressing |
Mazzy "She Hangs Brightly" after a deep clean. |
Mazzy Star "She Hangs Brightly" (Originally on Rough Trade in 1990) Plain Recordings 2015 Freshly US cleaned just unsealed/first listen |
The Donnas "Spend the Night" from the excellent ROG label. First time on vinyl. |
Bush "Sixteen Stone" Trauma Records/Interscope Records/1994/95 German Pressing/OP |
Kinda had that freewheelin' feeling..... |
Well Jim, what did you think of "Motherland" after comparing? I guess the SOTA hasn't really had a chance to break-in yet. |
I think my amps have reached optimal operational sonic enjoyment |
How do you like the latest My Morning Jacket, @sbank Spencer? I think it's up there with their best!
|

Cat Power "Covers"
|
Don’t be such a stranger @bgross. I have some Hathaway & Wonder |
When I Last saw Alejandro Escovedo, Mitch was there for the last song.
Was a one year anniversary of David Bowie’s death. |
Thank you@mammothguy54,
You have just shown how much improvement the MyMat system can make, even on a Rega!
I'd love to read your history on the Member Reviews posts |
...teach me how To unlearn a lesson"... |
|
Jason Isbell "Something More Than Free" |
Brian,
REM has a history in N C. Mitch Easter had much to do with REM first two lps.
His recording studio is in Kernersvile,... 20 minutes from me. |
|
Frankly, I'm close to being out of stock. Those of you who believed in me from the beginning, I thank you! |
|
|
Arrived today,
Cowboy Junkies "Black Eyed Man" "Caution Horses"
|
CJ is one of those bands I love but lack many of their lps Jim.
I bought the Speakers Corner issue of Delaney & Bonnie for that reason.
|
@boxer12,
"Penguin" is a fave of mine. I bought the 2 remastered box sets last year. They sound great! |
Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key of Life" Tamla/1976
@bgross |
Donna the Buffalo "Tonight, Tomorrow and Yesterday" |
