Whatever happened to...?

Usually Google answers this, but not always.  Peter Schott was the (brilliant, IMO) music director for Kid Creole and The Coconuts.  He left the band after a few albums and, then nothing......

" Whatever happened to...?" is a very cheap way to get attention. I wished the question has more meat in it than a nostalgic thought. 

The best PFM is kind of similar to Bella Band. The latter is all instrumental and maybe a bit more of a scorching jazzrock unit. PFM is still around and playing regularly in Europe, not sure how many original members are in the current line up, and don't know if they've released anything recenly that holds a candle to their early 70's stuff. I kept buying their records up until the mid 80's, but thought they declined steadily after Chocolate Kings, "Cook" and "Per Un Amico" are fantastic and made it hard to give up on them.

That makes me think of PFM another italian band, albeit "progessive"...whatever happened to them?

Stevecham, kind of doubt there's a connection. Bella Band were an Italian Band who put out only one record (of scorching instrumental jazz rock) on the Cramps label. Right up there w/ the best Mahavishnu, Soft Machine, Embryo or Arti + Mestieri.

Thanks Guys! Duanegoosen: Could the Bella Band been also called The Belle Low from Portland, OR at one time? They were a great band and I have been searching for their eponymous first recording for quite some time.

He is going to be in Green Bay to debate music pirating in a few weeks. Maybe he lost too much money to music pirates and just figured it wasn't worth the effort.

A couple of years ago, he released an independant disk recording of his 40th birthday concert. Only a few copies were available. Mine came via CDBaby and was autographed. Recording was great, performance was great for the venue but no new material.

This is probably a dead end (hope i'm wrong) the guys in:
