'Paradise By The Dashboard Light', by Meatloaf. It was recorded WAY after the fact, but hit the nail on the head(except-I was thirteen, not, "barely seventeen")! (http://new.music.yahoo.com/meatloaf/tracks/paradise-by-the-dashboard-light--682333)
Blue Autumn--back in 1966, yeah, I'm old...just met my future wife...Bobby Goldsboro was singing it--a really, really beautiful ballad.

Good listening,

Larry
Blue Autumn, lovely! I guess I'm still waiting for my first love... had my share of infatuations, tho. There sure are a lot of love songs out there! Excellent thread.
Iso,
Not many people know that one by Goldsboro...it really is a wonderful song.

Good listening,
Larry
Beast of Burden, the Rolling Stones! Back in 1985 it wasn't too hip to listen to the Stones, but we did.
She Blinded me by Science. Thomas Dolby ( I was actually thinking of it when I was walking down the aisle to get married. You can imagine how it worked out!
