What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

Thanks for the tip on PSP "Live," I look forward to hearing that.

I saw Simon Phillips playing on Jeff Beck's "There and Back" tour in 1980. I'll never forget the crowd's reaction when they opened the curtain to reveal probably the biggest drum kit any of us had ever seen. The "oohs and aahs" that rippled thru the theater was both hilarious and prophetic, as we instantly knew that we were in for a real treat!
"Russian Soul"
Moscow Chamber Orchestra

"Piano Concerto No. 2"
Rachmaninov/ Cécile Ousset

@mental - "Red Headed Stranger" is a classic and one of WIllie's best IMHO. Have you heard the "Red Headed Stranger Medley" on "Willie and Family Live"? It's fantastic, as is the whole album.

If you don’t have it, definitely worth adding to your collection. It's older but good.  Song writing is consistently strong.  Many (all?) of the songs written by or with members of The Hooters, if you remember them (All You Zombies). Sound quality is very good throughout, too.

I think Reubent mentioned it recently on another thread.

Gary Oldman is a very underrated actor.
He has had some truly epic supporting roles where he stood out from the main "stars" imho.

Take his role in The Fifth Element. He made Willis look wooden although that is not too hard I admit.
Likewise, uberwaltz...

Have not listened to anything by Sting in some time. Own a few of his solo releases (Dream of the Blue Turtles, The Soul Cages, Ten Summoner’s Tales). I’m not a "completist" (obviously!) though I think his music is well crafted and lyrically he’s one of the more literate writers in popular music.

Excellent use of "Shape of My Heart" (from Summoner’s Tales) in the Luc Besson movie, Leon-The Professional. Great supporting role there too by Gary Oldman (who expresses some strong opinions about classical music).

This is the greatest hits collection for The Alarm. Love it........
@stevecham

I think it is fair to say you do not need to place any cushions on the floor to soften the blow from falling off your chair...….

I have heard Steve Tibbets on Tidal but definitely not my cup of tea I am afraid.
I'll fall off my chair if any of you also has this one that I played earlier this evening:

Steve Tibbets - A Man About A Horse (ECM, 2002)
Listening casually to misc. stuff on a "mix cd" while breaking in a new amp.Bones, bones, bones by Greg Brown really got my attention.
Tina Turner is fantastic, agreed!
jafant-

I think you you're onto something

Tina Turner, Simply The Best - CD

Tango in the Night ... Fleetwood Mac.

CD, a very nicely mastered recording IMHO.
Definitely not MY cup of tea G.... Lol.
Sometimes I do think my musical tastes are too narrow but I know what I like.

Just watched a movie tonight as it was Redbox 16cent movie night ( yes I am that cheap!).
Really kicking soundtrack!

Kong: Skull Island.

Worth just listening to the soundtrack on Tidal or similar.
