What Preamps for Krell KSA 80

Was out of Audio for awhile, and now starting a new system with a Krell KSA 80,
and would like to have suggestions on what preamp would be a good match..along the lines of Audio Research LS3 etc..

How much are you willing to invest in the pre? Are there any other preferences? What are the other elements of your anticipated system? I would seek out a much more "tubiefied" sound from the pre personally.

I believe Audio Research's more recent tubed preamps would be a good match with that amp. What's the rest of your system?
