WHAT CABLES BEST TRANSPARENT OPUS ?

looking for suggestion for replacing my TA opus ics,  speaker  power cords  cables.

and you say ?

ozy

Ha!  You will get a billion responses here about what is best with little correlation.

So, my two cents here - The more I study interconnect cables, the more I go back to Blue Jeans LC-1 cable:  https://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/audio/LC1-design-notes.htm

You may also want to read this paper by Bill Whitlock: (I tried posting the link but it brought in the entire paper!  If the paper doesn't come through, do a search for "Bill Whitlock on grounding" )

I can assure you that any hum and noise from the line will impact the sound ina most negative way, far beyond the tiny hum you might hear.   Get rid of all of it, even it takes you a few days of debugging.   I do mean all of it, too.  If you can hear it at 3 am with the volume turned up high and your ear next to the speaker, you have too much of it.

The Star Quad speaker cables have made the most sense to me and I bought several hundred feet of it to rewire the Big Stereo and the two home theaters.

Why?

Just cause or is something lacking?

I am impressed with my Purist Audio Design cables.  I have no experience at all with TA cables.  So it would be interesting to me your impressions of the PAD 30th anniversary product line which I think is comparable to Opus.  I am nowhere near that level of cabling myself.

Spatial, great read. Thank you.

Tony, just because. Had pad cables years ago and liked them. They are a consideration for sure.
