The Lexicon of Love .... ABC.
An amazing find while digging through the bargain bins! Still shrink wrapped! |
Seventh Sojourn ... The Moody Blues.

Times Making Changes ... The Best of Tesla.

No Brakes .... John Waite. |
Crosseyed Heart ... Keith Richards.
Fast becoming a favorite on 180gm vinyl that is very Well recorded. |
@uberwaltz,
I've often wondered about that record?
|
@slaw . I had heard it on tidal and quite liked it. A few weeks ago our local FYE store was having 50% off sale on " red tag" vinyl. The Keith Richards and a Yes triple album were red tag so I took the chance.
Very impressed with the SQ on the Keith Richards album. Have not tried the Yes album yet. |

Wings over America record 3 |
Kraftwerk - The Mix - CD. Some might not care for some of the remixes, but what an aural treat. |
Speaking frankly, I prefer the original analog versions. |
Not heard the remix album but it's hard not to appreciate Kraftwerk in any form.
Another under rated band in similar vein ish.
Van Der Graf Generator. Confession time. They were the very first "real" band I saw live! |
Kraftwerk must not have ever heard the expression, Don’t gild the Lilly, Lilly.
|
Saviour Machine S/T.
Christian Gothic Metal.
Right! |
Unveiled .... Whitecross.
Cassette |
No argument that the original versions of Kraftwerk songs were great as first presented. |
|
New England .... Wishbone Ash.
Very nice SQ on this record. |
Nomzamo .... IQ.
Just found this on vinyl yesterday, still my favourite IQ record. |
Tango in the Night ... Fleetwood Mac.
7.5ips R2R |
Oops! I am listening to Kraftwerk’s The Mix (Japan) as we speak and have changed my mind. The Mix sounds very analog and dynamic. Great bass, too, and it even has air. We are zee robots. Gee, I’m thinking maybe burning in my Grados for two days and the Sony Walkman for 300 hours might’ve worked. 🤗
|
That's funny! That is the one I picked to listen too after perusing that Dr chart.
Will give it a listen later.
Right now.
Reach for Love .... Rez.
Cassette. |
Ok you made me do it....
Trans Europe Express.... Kraftwerk.
Qobuz |
Can only take so much Kraftwerk, gives the subs a workout but does not personally move me over much nowadays, really getting old.
Reach the Beach .... The Fixx.
Qobuz |
Obsessions ... Sacred Warrior.
Cassette |
Jose James - While You Were Sleeping (2014) |
Nice to see Graaf being remembered here. Recall the first time I saw a Peter Hammill record "Over". Liked it a lot and wondered if he'd done something else..... Well, he had! Time to listen to "Killer".
|
The Raconteurs - Help us strangers.
Yes, I know, it's not 40 years old.. |
Rise .... Hollywood Vampires.
Tidal |
Kraftwerk has a very narrow range but they do it so well.
|
Listening to Nektar - Sounds like this on Tidal this morning. Also Drift Episode 4 "Space" from Underworld on Tidal. Speaking of bass, I had to put on the headphones to keep from waking up my neighbors. |
Greg Very funny on headphones. I was doing the same this morning but not to wake the wife...lol.
|
Who Are You ... The Who.
Japan pressing. |
How Dare You .... 10cc.
Never played this before on vinyl, sounds like a real nice job on the recording. |
Uber, 10CC seemed to be masters of the studio as well as writing great pop songs. Art For Art's Sake off the album you mentioned and I'm not in love are both great for showing off your system. |
Greg. You are so right. I now have I think 8 10cc records and I do not think there is a bad SQ one among the lot. However still my favourite would have to be Deceptive Bends and the mind blowing Feel The Benefit. |
Real To Real Cacophony...... Simple Minds.
UK pressing |
New Horizon ... The Answer.
180gm vinyl |
Disclaimer ... Seether.

Egyptology - World Party
Love World Party, a gem of a band. |
I check out for a week of vacation, and the title to one of the threads I enjoy has changed. What gives?
I liked the old title. I participate in the "what's on your TT", "what's on your CPD" and "what are you playing" threads, as well as this "What are you streaming" thread. I liked keeping them separate. If not, we might as well consolidate on the "what are you playing" thread.
I'll still list what I'm streaming here. But I'm going to stick with the TT and CD threads for those forms of music media.
|
Sorry you do not like the change Reubent.
It was my idea and seemed like a good one.
To each their own I guess. |
@uberwaltz - It's just confusing to me. When I stream music, nothing spins. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. ;~)
Yesterday and today I'm working my way through my Sportify Discover Weekly. Missed a couple of weeks while I was on vacation. This weeks playlist has not been great, so far. Hopefully the second hour is better than the first...... Discovered one good track, so far....
Rich Robinson - "Oh! Sweet Nuthin' - Live" |
Lol @reubent .
Even when streamed something was spinning somewhere at some time to make the music.
Those were my musings. |
I have to admit it confused me too. When I saw the "spinning" topic I immediately thought of vinyl, and "don't we already have a thread for that?". "Streaming" seems like a better descriptor. |
