What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

On Tidal, Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain

A 2000 debut but new to me.
Quoting the write up accompanying the album on Tidal: "A strange and beautiful mix of the romantic, eerie, and world-weary....".

Track 8, Utopia

You are SO right! We have never had it so good for access to the world's music library.

Today I have played cassette and vinyl and sure I will finish the night streaming from Tidal.

We are truly blessed!
Just finished Handel's "Water Music" LP and now I'm streaming Gregory Alan Isakov, "This Empty Northern Hemisphere". I'll probable go back to some vinyl before the night's over....What great times we live in!
Crowded House, S/T, MQA
Diana Krall, The Girl In The Other Room, Tidal Masters

Welcome to the wacky world of streaming!

Enjoy the Tidal and great choices there!
uberwaltz,

I agree with ghosthouse! Please keep the thread rolling. Believe it or not, with a little help from my friends I just subscribed to Tidal this week. Currently streaming
The Beattles, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Band, ( Deluxe Anniversary

@uberwaltz  Busy, which is why I haven't posted. Listening to Herbie Hancock's River: The Joni Letters right now.
Hello uberwaltz -
Hah...I can sympathize.  Did my share of time in Ship Channel refineries and chem plants wearing Nomex and the rest of the safety gear.  Nothing like being next to an operating reactor in July afternoon heat down there.  Well, maybe crawling through a boiler that just got taken out of service but, fortunately, I didn't work that side of the house.

Just got done listening again (Tidal) to Steps Ahead their self-titled first US release.

Stay hydrated!
Jon
I figured most sensible folks had better things to do than post on this ol thread...lol
But thank you
Miles Davis Circle in the Round on Tidal sorry to have not been contributing guys!
Thanks Ghosthouse

Bit of a bad week anyway slogging it out in Texas factories in horrible conditions , heat and humidity but enough on my world

Maybe a serious cutback then....lol

Simple Dreams ( 40th Anniversary edition) ... Linda Ronstadt
Once more from Tidal...

Summer McKane's "Night Blooming Cereus"

GREAT sonics.  The music is a bit inconsistent.  Some of it "nice" but boring.  Other bits are a lot more engaging.
Don't do it, U !

You don't have to post every hour or even every day.  Save it for something extraordinary you've listened to.  I'm heartened by your  "obsessive listening" (there're are others out there!) even if tastes are not always identical.  Same goes for Slaw posting on What's Playing On Your Turntable Today? or Nutty's What's Playing On Your System Today.
I do sometimes get ideas for my own listening from your content and theirs.

I listen to Tidal regularly but usually just post about it, when the spirit moves, over on the What's In Your CDP Tonight? thread.  That was always intended as a digital listening thread alternative to the turntable thread that Slaw has adopted.  No problem with redundancy and overlap, however.  My main goal for listing a recording is to give it a little more exposure and maybe maybe maybe turn someone else on to something they've not heard before.  A noble cause or maybe just a manifestation of mania.

Either way, having said all that...try this:

The Bad Plus - These Are the Vistas

Track 3, Smells Like Teen Spirit
There are covers and then there are COVERS.  Plus the sonics on this whole recording are pretty good.

Think it is time to shelve this thread as very little interest besides myself posting and that gets old...lol.
Completely understand there are way too many music threads already and a lot of very good long and well established ones.
This was a stab at just covering a different growing area but with the general dearth of activity here anyway and the profusion of established threads it is just too much.
Been a  great ride and I do thank all those who did take the time and trouble to post here.
Signing off with Tidal alt/indie radio for the morning before work.

Just got to my hotel, fire the laptop up and just let Pandora play on Hard Rock Radio
On the road again this week.

Travelling to sunny Texas.

So be only streaming for me this week via phone and laptop.
Tidal, Pandora about it
Again as very impressed with this album all round.

Piano & A Microphone 1983 ... Prince

Tidal
Ghosthouse

Yes live at Carnegie hall, an acoustic evening. Date of 2017.

And you are right I cannot say as I have heard one of his albums yet that suffers from poor sq!
Hey there U-man.  Don't know either of those JB recordings.  Looking in Tidal.  Is the Carnegie Hall "subtitled" An Acoustic Evening?

Will have to try them out.  I'm impressed with the SQ of most of his stuff, in particular A New Day Yesterday (Live).
Great choice Ghosthouse..

Undecided if my fave Joe B album is Driving towards the Daylight or Live at Carnegie Hall.

Have both on vinyl and the sq is stunning.
