@uberwaltz.
This is a great thread @uberwaltz .
I just totally started over with a new system a few months ago (after 12 years) and my main source is now an Aurender. I’ve been having an incredibly fun time finding/discovering new music and catching up on old music as well.
In Tidal, I’ve been browsing through the 12.5k+ Masters files there. Just trying whatever catches my eye. I’ve found some pretty incredible recordings and like not having to put a new CD in the player or even really think too much about what CD will be next. My music collection is huggee now!
I’ll try to get my iPad out and contribute some titles or songs here.
I do like that Alarm collection you listed. Just saw them in late August and it was a very good show indeed, I think even better than the year before at the same venue.

Elbow - "Little Fictions" / Tidal. This is my first full listen through but will come back for another listen. |
Gillian Welch - Boots No.1
@uberwaltz Indeed, when you have Tidal or Spotify, etc., you truly have a World of Music at your fingertips. Totally dig that.

Here's a list of tracks I listened to today. Was really great session.
Pinback - Anti-Hu Steely Dan - Ricki Don't Loose that Number Carey Bell - It's So Easy to Love You (whole album has amazing SQ) Capital Cities - Swimming Pool Summer Bebe Rexha - Atmosphere (killer SQ and bass) Devendra Banhart - Middle Names Gary Clark Jr. - Please Come Home (Live) (this is just sublime) Aeriel Popock - Someone Like You Aeriel Popock - Living in Twilight
I have a Playlist on my N10 called Soup De Jour. When I start a session, I just empty the queue and then start afresh picking tracks from my favorites in whatever order suits my fancy.

"I thought you weren’t into female singers?! ;-)" That is so usually true. But lately, on Tidal, I've found a number of them I like. See below.
|
Jazz Pistols - Live (per my friend GH) |
Big Country - Come Up Screaming (in car - still such a great album after all these years) |
Forgot to mention, many tracks above are MQA; just Pinback, Steely Dan, and Carey Bell are 44.1. |
Martin Simpson - A Closer Walk With Thee |
Bruce Cockburn - Bone on Bone (long time fan, but first listen to this album) |
Steely Dan - Aja
Then took a trip back to educate myself as I've always been in love with the radio hits but not owned anything by them but "Best Of" collections.
