Hi Audiolabyrinth,
I have at present several GTX-D Rhodium and Gold as well as F-50 (R & G).
For the moment I have not fixed them yet not used.
I would inform you.
Only I am not on the use Furutech R or G on the SS ampli and preamp.
Thank you has you all.
The same ole question!, please give your opinions, I know what the dealers have told me, I repeated the same to Mehdi that Chris Vanhause said there at Vh-Audio, however, what is all of your opinions Furutech GTX-D Gold versus Rhodium, which sounds out right better for pure class A Krell 700cx amp?, I will be getting the complete package deal, the wall frame and cover plate, the entire deal, so I need to be sure of what I am doing here, Thankyou in advance, Mehdi, try rotating your Gold in and out with the Rhodium you have and give me your personal impressions.
How does the synergistic research best recepticles compaire to the Furutech GTX-D Gold recepicles?, of course when I spoke to SR about their red fuses, they claim their outlets were the best!, I do not believe that at all, what do all of you say about these two?
I have a Maestro and like it a lot over stock Hubbles on one of my eight dedicated lines. I'ver heard the Porter recommended a lot (which is cryoed Hubble). I wonder what the cost is at CryoPro to do just one of the single outlet Hubble 5361? I hate to say this, but I can hear subtle differences between the two outlets on a duplex. I've not confirmed, but I suspect the outlet with the line hooked to its screw is best as the other is conducting through the tab. The 5361 eliminates this audio nervosa.
I am conterplating getting the wall frame and carbon fiber face plate, is there substantial benefit in noticable sound to get this with a Furutech GTX-D Gold recepticle, or is the improvement subtle?
Since AC mains power is noisy, I prefer direct gold/copper outlets and plugs. The brass Hubbells are grainier IMO, similar to Rhodium.
Audiolabyrinth, No I have not tried the Gold. My system is a little on the rich sounding side (as compared to lean) so I thought the Rhodium would work better.
Still, perhaps something to try someday.
ozzy, have you tried the Furutech GTX-D Gold?, Has better mid-range, textured, vocals sound more realistic, cheers.
All the ones mentioned except for the Hubbell have some internal ferrous components that I feel degrade the sound. The single units such as the 5361 will also have the least potential for mechanical resonance. The ones that have the greatest ferrous content in the signal path potentally could end up working extremely well with the power cords from the maker High Fidelity. Tom
I own the Maestro, Oyaide R1, Synergistic Research tesla, Furutech GTX-R and the Hubble's mentioned in this thread. Each of these outlets do have there individual qualities.

But, there is a reason the Furutech GTX-R costs more ... its built better and sounds much better.

If your AC in the best you can get it, and your power cords are capable, the Furutech shines over the others.
I have found that Maestro sockets are the best for my system.....just plain better, not colored, like others, just plain better. I had Porter Ports....these trounce them.
I already have High performance aluminium mountingframe And carbon panel..wpc-z lot of benefit..dedicated for 5362 Hubbell ...
But not used yet .this maybe excellent ...And i Will see .thx anyway .
Sir you can buy the HBL 5361
on Ebay for 4.99 and then send them to CryoPro in Missouri for treatment. Tom
Thx for your info concerning the single wall outlet...😉And so you would recommand it for the amplifier..or powerdistributer....is that right theaudiotweak..?...actualy my power cell from P.S audio is equiped with the duplex version 5362w And all my equiment is connected to except my amp to the wall ac outlet And i am going to get the 5361 hope fully very soon..😃
What is the price of it..?..is it easy to find..?..is there any shop where i CAN get it easy...?would appreciate...
Thankyou...😃😉😀😉..chahed
The 5361 is a single ac outlet. The 5362 is a duplex version of the 5361. They have the same connective parts except for their plastic or nylon chassis. The benefit of having the single outlet is less surface resonance offered by the single outlet versus the dual outlet. If you had a 5362 and one of the outlets was not in use then the sound of the other may suffer because the unused one would be free to resonate. I have 3 dedicated lines with 10 gauge wire. I formerly had 6 FIM 880 duplex outlets. In their place I now have 6 single 5361's each separate pair mounted side by side in a dual gang box covered with a with a nonferrous stainless steel face plate. All six outlets are in use/terminated.
Theaudiotweak..hi..!..in wich Way the 5361 is it betters the hubbell5362w..?..CAN you tell us where are you using it ..?
HI mehdi, Go with the Gold on your big solid state amp, when you get all this burned in, let me know what your impressions are, cheers.
Hi Audiolabyrinth Thankx for your reply and recomendation
The Big Amp SS Rhodium or Gold?
Hi Mehdi, I would put the GTX-D Gold on the Emm labs XDS1 digital player for sure and leave it, this goes for the FI-50 plug too, Put the Rhodium GTX-D on your line level pre-amp, put the GTX-D Gold on your amp and phono pre-amp, reply back when you can, congrats! Happy Listening.
Btw let me tell something else my powercell PS audio with the new réceptacle from Hubbell is chalenging my Sound application that. Cost almost 20 Time its price...😉😉😉😉😉😉
It is now almost a month since i replaced my oyaide réceptacle R1 by Hubbell HBL 5362w to feed my Sound application"fantastic réceptacle And Beleive it or not i added And i changed all the (2)réceptacles in my powercell from PS.audio by Hubbell HBL5362W...😉...différence is night an day.

mehdi
I have had Porter Ports, and a number of others and there aint nothin like Maestro outlets. The difference is night and day. All kinds of haze and junk are eliminated...instruments are in their own space,... great
The Furutech wall outlet frame also makes a huge difference. I would recommend anyone considering getting the GTX to get the wall frame without hesitation. Easily the best bang for buck in my system.
I just would like to know if Hubbell compagnie makes "schucko" réceptacle like do oyaide or furutech for US And européen country...just for the Music .🎹🎻🎺🎷🎸🎼🎧🎤

Hi Chahed, which model Hubbell HBL 5362 did you get?, the model with isolated ground, or without?, you are one of the few that has echoed these findings, years ago, I owned Hubbells best recepticles, I cannot remember the model, just hospital grade, they sounded great to me too, I still have not made my purchase yet, I have been sold on to buy the furutech GTX-gold recepticles, I have had many reputible dealers and audiophiles alike swear they are the best money can buy for sound?, do you have exsperience with the Furutech GTX Rhodium or Gold recepticles?, cheers.

@ Zd542, Thats funny you mentioned solid state,In the late 90s, solid state was far and away better than tube equipment, then tube equipment got alot better, everyone wanted tube equipment, now in the last two years, solid state has come full circle again, that is what I am considering in the next two years, going all solid state, the vincent sounds great, however, I have been keeping up with a digital thread about red-book dacs, The Imperical Audio ODSE has sparked interest, I bet it is a fine sounding machine, and for the asking price, It has beaten out much more exspensive Dacs in matt's shoot out, including tube dacs!, right now I plan on doing tweeks like these Furutech GTX-D Gold recepticles and Etc....
I've had lots of tube gear over the years. I am kind of surprised in that most of my gear is now SS. I only have 2 pieces of tube gear currently. I have a VAC amp in my 2nd system and an Aesthetix preamp in my main system. But in my main system, my CD player has a volume control. I go back and forth. Sometimes I prefer the preamp, and other times I like just the CD player. It really depends on the recording. If I had to choose just 1 way, I would leave the preamp in the system.
Ha, ha, Zd542, so you run all solid state?, or you are getting me to laugh, which is good, you got some tube equipment in your system?
"Zd542, Do you own any tube products?, cheers."

I may be able to find a piece or two laying around the house.
Hi Zd542, The vincent cd-s7 that I have has tube gold plated tube sockets, I am at 134 hours of burn-in on the modded Krell 700cx, and I have 534 hours of burn-in on the vincent player, and of course all my cables are re-burning in as well, the krell sounds different!, totally better, the treble is the best I have ever heard from a amp at any cost, griainless pure bliss, 1 year and a couple of weeks is a long time Zd542 to be without high-end tunes, I have more hours on the vincent from useing it thru the tube dedicated headphone amp that is on the player to burn-in the Tara Cobalt power cord and do critical listening of the power cord, Zd542, Do you own any tube products?, cheers.

Recommendations? The furutech GTX-D gold or Rhodium?, one recepticle for the Krell 700cx, the other for a lovely sounding tube vincent cd-s7 digital player."

I've been very busy for a while now and haven't been able to keep up with my threads. It's good to see you've found a CD player that you like. And by the looks of it, you're trying to finally plug your Krell in. And now for the big question. lol. Are the tubes in your Vincent hard wired to the board or are they in a socket?
Mehdi, this depends on equipment, I was told, for digital to use Furutech GTX-D Gold, and for solid state amps, use the same, but for tube amps and pre-amps to use the Rhodium version, hope this helps, give me a reply back.
I decided to buy for my audio systems the Furuteck
FI 50 (U.S. plugs / IEC) + Respectacle Furuteck GTX-D.
I ask your advice RODIUM OR GOLD?

Thanks
Hi RJa, My aftermarket power cord has the Oyaide plug-079 and IEC-079 gold plated, I talked to chris there at vh-audio, He still recommends the Furutech GTX-D gold for my amp and tube digital, so I believe I may be going that direction, I just wanted to know what the community thinks of the sound differences between the two, gold or rhodium Furutech GTX-D recepticles?
Any discussion of outlets is incomplete without mentioning the plug that goes into it. It's a package, they are never used separately. They should be thought of as one unit.
Recommendations? The furutech GTX-D gold or Rhodium?, one recepticle for the Krell 700cx, the other for a lovely sounding tube vincent cd-s7 digital player.
Thankyou Mitch2, your contribution was well welcomed by me!, your recepticle link was very informative, Though the Furetech GTX-D gold may be my pick, after reading what was said in the link, the outlets seem to be about system matching, the Hubbell outlet was interesting at what it does for the mid-range, I would have liked to read a direct comparison of the Furetech GTX-D Gold versus Rhodium, The reviewer did not have a Gold on hand, maybe you can find a reviewer comparison of the two?, I will study your link more precisely, I do not know if this may be of interest to anyone, Chris Vanhaus of Vh-Audio sells many recepticles, and even gets some cryo treated that did not come that way, My point here is that he swears by the Furetech GTX-D gold for my Krell 700cx amp and my vincent cd-s7 tube digital player that consist of 4 tubes, on another note, have any of you got into place before a product in your system that was so revealing that you could clearly reconize your weakest point in your audio chain?, I am in that position, clearly, LOL!, My $6.50 20 amp recepticle on the amp, and $1.00 recepticle that came with house has to go, I have found out that with a profound after market power cord compaired to the stock power cord, the stock power cord hid many factors I was not aware of, now that they are exsposed, The recepticles are the weak link!, cheers gentleman.
