VMP (Vinyl Me Please) new.

When Vinyl Me Please announced their elimination of the Rock and Country "tracks" from all future releases, that was the end of my interest in their products. Their latest promo email announces the re-institution of those tracks, so I guess I wasn't alone.

Their chose of albums has been real hit-and-miss for me. But their last batch of Country releases (the first three months of 2024) was mighty fine: The Houston Kid by Rodney Crowell (first release on LP, Old No. 1 by Guy Clark (originals are hard to find, and Mint condition copies are selling for over a hundred bucks), and Billy Joe Shaver's Old Five And Dimers Like Me.

If their upcoming Country releases are a least close in quality to those titles, I'm back in. That in spite of the fact that some of their releases are of albums easy to find originals of for $5.
