I have used RackIt from Per Madsen, with excellent results and outstanding customer service.

Check out Quadraspire at

They have just introduced some handy storage cubes, each holding around 150 lbs. They can be stacked, placed side to side, etc. Beautiful as well.
If you have an ikea near you? Your in luck.I was there just this week they have a unit that looks very sturdy and goes for very little, you can find it in storage. The unit is not made for this application but I think it is attractive and would work out very well.
I use shelving by Lundia. Comes in different widths, heights, and depths. Shelf height is fully configurable, too. Made of solid wood. Got mine used, they are at least 30 years old and will last forever. I often see Lundia units in local public libraries and also in law libraries. Do a google search and check eBay.
This one can grow with your LP collection:

Eames design from the 50s. It comes in different configurations. Still looks contemporary today:

Music Direct also sells some nice shelving units for LP's as well. www.musicdirect.com

Musicdirect makes some real nice ones. I own them and love them. they are quite attractive. They are modular, so you can add tiers as your LP collection grows.
These are the racks that I prefer.
They look good (high WAF), and they work great, as they even have the back stop, so your albums always are lined up straight. And you can even have your choice of two different finishes. (I went with Cherry as it matched our decor better.)

Music Direct LP Rack
Home Depot closet organizer units - slightly modified. Store about 700 LPs in each at a cost of maybe $80. Best against a wall and if you don't mind a white melamine finish. I have 6 of these and they work great for me.
hey thank you everyone, i think im going with the music direct. its very nice looking and i like the wheels!! thanks again jonny
until you check out www.boltz.com

I got a 3 shelf LP rack and a 1200 CD rack. Extremely good
shelves,a bit expensive but no more than musicdirect, etc.
A bit more, but really bulletproof. I've had enough shelf units eventually start to bow from weight, that I will not make that mistake of going cheap again. If you don't pay as much to save money, and end up regretting it, it costs so
much more to buy again.
