Uneven length RCA signal cable

Hi
today I acquired a used pair of signal cable (audience conductor e) but when I came home I noticed that they weren't exactly the same length. The difference is more or less 1 cm on a total length of 1 meter.
Do you believe it will make an audible difference in sound?

Thank you for help

WOW, Almarg, sounds like one hell of an engineer or a mathematician, thats a better answer than I wold have come up with, I would have just said NO, please dont ask this man to elaborate!

If you sent them to Audience to be re-terminated, then you should be able to disregard my first post.

The short answer: No.

The long answer: I doubt that very many people would assert that a pair of 101 cm interconnects would sound any different than a pair of 100 cm interconnects that are otherwise identical, even though the shorter pair would have 1% less resistance, inductance, and capacitance, and a 1% reduction in the magnitude of various other possible effects such as those which may result from dielectric absorption and skin effect. So I see no reason to expect an audible difference if one cable, rather than both, is made 1 cm shorter or longer.

Also, if there is any concern regarding the arrival time difference at one's ears that would result from the length difference, the amount of time required for the signal to propagate the extra 1 cm in one of the cables will be approximately 0.000000003 seconds for the slowest moving audible frequency (20 Hz), and far less than that for most other frequencies. 0.000000003 seconds corresponds to the amount of time required for sound to propagate through air over a distance of approximately 0.0001 cm, so the resulting arrival time difference would be the same as the difference resulting from one's head being 0.0001 cm closer to one speaker than the other. In other words, completely negligible.

Maybe. But not because of the length being different. While a CM is not a very big difference, its very unusual to see cable lengths off like that, especially for a well respected company like Audience. Someone probably had a really long pair that was not easy to sell, so they chopped them up and reterminated. I would look the cables over really well and see if they show signs of being worked on.
