Two R&B finds.....

Rhian Benson (gold coast)....Les Nubians (Princesses Nubiennes)....for those who enjoy the Pre Badu artists..recording is not that bad for a mainstream pressing but the music is so addicting...cheers....

Agree. I got that Les Nubians album in 1998. Similar recent albums I also recommend are India Arie's Acoustic Soul and Lizz Wright's Salt. I've been listening to another cool French artist lately, Samiah Farah (Samia Farah).
Onhwy check out Rhian Benson Cd,she was voted the most promising soul/r&b by BET network....too bad North America is so hooked on teen bands, Ghetto music, and one song wonder bands, the most exciting unknown artist are coming from Asian and Europe.Erika Badu is probably the most refreshing R&B artist in North America these days, but her music is starting to lose abit of its edge and becoming abit more influence by her agents rather than her roots.
I became a fan of Les Nubians in 2003. Both of their albums are highly recommended. For those not familiar with the duo, they sound like a more hip/hop version of Sade.
