The springs will put frequencies into the deck all the time, as you start the deck up it tries to twist the chassis,, continues to do this whilst in use,,
they are also away of making sure the belt is the correct tightness, they perform as a cam moving them center the chassis and also the belt tightness, the problem is the adjuster can be out of alignment ,,
this means that the centering is off and also the tightness of the belt ,,
the platter on spinning up causing the springs to move and slacking of the belt ,causing wow and flutter ,,
