Turntable Advice on Hum/Brands

I've been considering purchasing a Rega Planar 6 TT. I read a recent thread that Rega are susceptible to hum/feedback. I have a wooden floor,  so I'm wondering if I should go with a different TT. Any suggestions for turntables more resilient to hum in the same $2500.00 or so range? I appreciate any insights.

I am a fan of VPI the “Player” looks good and is in your price range.

By wood floors, you mean suspended? Suspended floors often require a wall mounted platform. All the isolation on suspended turntables is centered on vibration not on isolating from suspended floors and will often still skip from footfalls. Not walking around a playing turntable also works.

I had a P3 and had no issues.  Just need to cross your t's and dot the i's when you set it up.  Rega's don't have a ground wire.

IMO, the deal right now is the Anniversay P3, almost a P6 and cheaper.  Use the saved money for a nice cart.

I would skip over the P6 and save up or get a used P8; you get the better arm!

All TT's are susceptible to footfalls.
