If money is such an object, I’d look for a pre-owned VPI SDS or even one of their earlier efforts. Better than nothing. But I dunno what to tell you about those cheap items you’re talking about.
TT AC Motor Controller
Many of the AC motor TT motor controllers are very expensive, but non-audiophile motor controllers are sold all over the web for $50-100 and I was wondering if they could be used. My TT has a 5 watt motor, so I can’t use a Project or Music Hall because they’re only rated as 3 watts max. Anyone ever try this?
One thing I was thinking- would these controllers act like light dimmers, which supposedly inject a lot of noise into the system? So I’ve heard at least.
