Tri - Wire with Bi - Wire: Which to Bridge?

I have speakers (Mirage OMD 28's) which have tri-wire binding posts, but my speaker cables are NBS bi-wire.  I also have a set of Synergistic Research jumpers.  Question:  Which posts should I feed with the bi-wire off the amp, and which should be jumpered?  The Synergistic guy told me to jumper from mids to lows, with the amp wire directly feeding highs and mids.  I thought that was a strange suggestion.  What say you?

I’ve read where that is the correct way to do it with a three way speaker but I’ve not experienced it myself. If you had a two way and a single run, you’d connect to the bass and jump up.

Some say to cross them can get better results (for you, one side connect the upper two and the other, the lower two, jumping both to the remaining posts (only vertically!)

I was told to try it with my two way speakers and did, but discovered that going from the bottom and jumping up (as recommended by the maker) sounded best. You won’t know until you try.

All the best,
