I have so much static built up in my vinyl system. It is so bad that when i remove the record from the mat the static pulls the tonearm off of its resting post. What can be done about this?
Using Nitty Gritty machine and I clean records periodically. Table is a Thorens TD-124 circa 1960. I am using a cork slip mat. Never ever wear tennis shoes. No carpets anywhere.
Do you clean your lps? How do you clean them" What material is your platter made of? Don't wear tennis shoes, especially in the winter, if you have a carpeted area.
