Time for some housekeeping: Best contact cleaner?

I was thinking it'd been awhile since I'd taken my system down and done a good cleaning. Along with that would be a thorough dusting, rerouting cables, etc. But primarily, I would like to clean any and all conductive interfaces. I can't remember the last time it was done.

To that end, what are your recommendations for contact surface cleaners and perhaps contact enhancers? I may even do the tube pins!

Thanks.

Happy listening.

91 or 99% alcohol works as well as anything and doesn't have the ridiculous markup that other stuff has.

"91 or 99% alcohol works"

Yes, just make sure you avoid contact with some plastics.

Alcohol can also damage gold plating and 99% alcohol may contain carcinogens due to the manufacturing process, so 91% may be a better choice.

I switched to 91% for my DIY vinyl cleaning solution and sanitizing hard household surfaces.

I learned during Covid that 70% is more effective for softer surfaces including our skin.
