Time for some housekeeping: Best contact cleaner?

I was thinking it'd been awhile since I'd taken my system down and done a good cleaning. Along with that would be a thorough dusting, rerouting cables, etc. But primarily, I would like to clean any and all conductive interfaces. I can't remember the last time it was done.

To that end, what are your recommendations for contact surface cleaners and perhaps contact enhancers? I may even do the tube pins!

Thanks.

Happy listening.

I like MG Chemicals - 409B Electrosolve Zero Residue Contact Cleaner  and Kontak.

The MG is a lot less expensive and seems to be just as good (the Kontak smells like dry cleaning fluid/naphtha with a hint of citrus:-).

I do not use "treatments" on anything that gets warm/hot.

When I was working my kit contained CRC’s contact cleaner. I never experienced any negative issues. Used it on some pretty sensitive electronic boards.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get tarnish or goop off, then apply GC Electronics De-ox-id. NOT Caig Deoxit. Been using this combo for many years.
