Timbernation Rack - Very Pleased

I recently received my 5 shelf Timbernation rack with 2" thick tiger maple shelves and black lacquer legs.
The build quality of the rack is superb, and it's real pretty to look at as well.  Everything was easy to assemble out of the shipping cartons and once the screws were tightened the rack was rock solid.
As impressed as I am with the build quality, I really did not expect to be as impressed as I am with the improvement in sound it has provided.  I listen to vinyl about 99% of the time, so I knew what records sounded like before and after this upgrade.  The improvements in clarity (especially the bass response) are not small, allowing me to hear deeper into the music in the grooves.
My TT is an SME 20/2, which is no slouch in isolating vibrations, but with the Timbernation rack it's only got better.  I find it remarkable that while music is playing on it I can slap the top shelf of the rack with great force and it does not cause the record to skip or emit any sound through the speakers.
My previous rack was a home made MDF and all thread set up, which served me well for many years, but now I understand how much of a difference a high quality rack can make.
As far as high end racks go, Timbernation is a relative bargain.  Mine cost around $1500 including shipping.  I looked at quite a few rack options before choosing this one, and I'm really glad I did.

I am considering a Timbernation rack. I am glad to hear that you are pleased with yours. I have been using a metal/glass 5-rack combo for 15 years. I read bout the sonic improvements that the heavy wood stability would provide. Would love to hear others input on the Timbernation racks as well. Congratulations.
I purchased a TimberNation Rack around the first of the year.  Awesome looks, 130 pounds of maple and walnut, and rock solid!
I have bought a few times.  Although I had specific requirements, they flubbed up and weren't the best with customer service.  Overall, they are a good bang for the buck if they get it right.  Otherwise, you might have to live with what arrives.  All I can say, is that it is very solid, price is good and way better than I can do!

I also have a custom TimberNation Rack.  For the money it can't be beat.  I would give it an A- for finish.  There are a couple of minor finish flaws that prevent it from being perfect but they are minor.

I've owned one of Chris's racks for years, and it's traveled all over the country with me. Solid, beautiful, and affordable.
Just wondering if anyone has compared Timbernation racks to Massif Audio Design?
