Three Artists: One CD

I don't know about you, but almost every CD I own contains at least a few tracks I don't particularly care for. Lately I have taken steps to solve this problem. My solution is to make a compilation CD populated only with my favorite tracks from three different artists. I sequence the tracks so that each artist is alternated one after the other. Although it takes a little work, I find myself enjoying my listening a lot more!

Here are my latest creations:
1. Warren Zevon, David Bowie, Lou Reed
2. Delbert McClinton, Joe Ely, Billy Joe Shaver
3. Johnny Hodges, Gene Ammons, John Coltrane
4. Bruce Springsteen's "Nebraska" alternated with the corresponding track from "Badlands: A Tribute To Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska"

So, here is my question: What three artists would you choose to put together for your compilation?
shoff
I did it only for car(still ain't got no CD-player and use cassettes).
I have LHasa on one side and Jewish Odissey on the other side That mix of cultures and talented bands made me a great combination.
I also acquired a compilation CD from Crammed discs catalogue that realy opened up for me many new artists that I ought to research and listen to -- I put it on the cassette in order to listen to it more often in the car and my sporty old-fashioned compact cassette player(pocket CD-players nowdays break down too fast!).
Never tried to "brew" compilations since every album I have is precious for me as is with every song.
Completely avoiding your question, if this is how you enjoy listening to music you should move towards a hard drive jukebox type system with customized playlists.
