Thoughts on selling and upgrading

I have some older Nakamichi equipment that I am thinking of downsizing.  I have a CA-5/PA-7 set up as well as an OMS-7 and a Dragon.  I would like to keep the OMS-7 as my side table headphone rig but the others I am thinking about moving.  The Dragon for sure and maybe the others.  They are in my casual listening area and the PA-7 is way too much power for the Klipsch Heresy Its it has been driving for years.  I had the crossovers in the speakers recapped and a new diaphragms in the tweeters and  intend to keep the speakers.  I bought everything new.  The Dragon never had many hours on it and has spent much time in a box the last few years.  I even have a rack mount, wired remote control and one set of original RCA cables that came with it.

Opinions on a way forward by you experienced folks would be welcome.  Maybe an angle I am not seeing.  Also, ideas on the best way to sell if I choose to do so.  Is here on Audiogon the best place for this type of equipment?

Something smaller and more current tech (i.e. bluetooth and such) would be the idea as I have another room for critical listening.

Thoughts on a sub for this system would be welcome as well.  One of my subs just died and I had to move the one on this system back to the home theater.  I have always wanted a tube amp but don't know if I want to fuss with one for this application.   The Heresys do need help on the low end.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts as I don't have any audio heads in my current circle.

I run my Heresys with a PrimaLuna integrated but they still need a sub.

Personally I always want the best sound. So, I would buy a high quality integrated with a high quality streamer/DAC (Aurender is my choice) and speakers that fit the room. This system could easily best the sound of your old one.

To me your situation presents an opportunity to demonstrate the skills you have picked up to craft a system to sound spectacular… and if you are downsizing… why not also make it look great.

That is me. Also, I would use my equipment as trade in… assuming it has significant value. If not this is probably a good place to sell it.
