Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

I just bought a mint condition Thiel CS.5 and very happy with the results I am getting in my room. This is a serious speaker indeed. Paired with a Vincent SV-236MK integrated amp (tested also with a Rogue Sphinx and a NAD C275BEE power amp) it produced a big holographic sound with amazing consistency from top to bottom, and for my surprise they were the most easy speakers to place in the room up until now.

The speakers just disappear and the bass is very satisfying in my 3,6 x 4,9m dedicated listening room. Some CS.5 users reported a week bass output but in my room (and to my tastes) it is are very good and proportional to the rest of the spectrum.

A praise must be given also to the top end quality: I am discovering so much new details in very well known records... it is addictive!

Some of my other speakers are: Totem Arro, KEF LS50 and Duevel Planets, and they all have their strengths but I find the Thiel to be easily more engaging and true to the music.

I also love the design and the built quality and I am proud to own them.

Congrats. I had .5s in my room from 1993 to 2011 and they are a honey of a speaker, especially if they are fed a nice dose of high current power. Enjoy!

I was listening to this song yesterday with my 1.5 and the starting percussion jumped at me and the bass was shaking the room with little overhang. The transient speed of the speakers were so fast. I am in love with thiel speakers.

Hi, there was an opportunity for some cs 3.7 in my area - and I took it. As a long-time owner of 1.5s they have always been my dream speakers. I knew that my living room situation would not be perfect for them because of the small space and large windows. The room is about 4x4m (12x12ft) but opens up on one side in a larger dining and kitchen area. I'm glad I bought them. Finding the perfect position is tricky and I'm sure sound would improve a tick in a larger space but overall it works out fine. In the end my fear of oversizing was unfounded. Sound is on a whole new level, much closer to a live performance. I enjoy them very much.Have a nice day!
