The (never ending) Quest For “More”

“Keep searching for that sound in your head until it becomes a reality”

Bill Evans

This is what drives my insanity 👌🏼

@bolong:

people with enough money to upgrade have let this take over their ability to just focus on the music.

I didn’t say that.

What I did say:

It’s easy to lose track of the music if you’re constantly obsessed with upgrading

... which can be a problem even if one has little to spend. It’s just that one can get much more carried away with endless gear chasing if one has lots to spend.

I never said that having a large audio budget inherently leads to endless gear chasing or necessarily inhibits appreciation for music. There are forum members who I very much respect who have much more costly systems than I’ll ever have AND who clearly love music.

+1 very true.

@nonoise.....hi, familiar stranger.....;)

We share this....impulse that drives what to draw closer than front row, onto the stage where we can move about the players as the melodies unwind about one.....

😏...something akin to that?

There exists degrees of 'perfection' that may be beyond my means, but that excludes what I currently enjoy as much as I do....while I pursue a personal project that actually works while I explore how to improve it ....

...if only for myself....

"...which is.....Okay." ;)
