Tellurium Q Black II vs.Mad Scientist Interconnects
For a couple years I've used Tellurium Q Black ii interconnects between my DAC and amp. Recently, on a whim, I acquired a pair of Mad Scientist Ultra Black ($799.99) Immediately, without burn in, not too good but I did notice enhanced clarity. Now two weeks later, I'm hooked. At first, it was a toss up as in they were different but one no better than the other. Just better in different ares. But now, the clarity has improved, initial bass bloat is gone replaced by a lovely better natural bottom end. I think the stand out qualities that grabbed me was the clarity and quickness. The Tellurium Q's are like an old pair of jeans that fit just right but lack that crisp snappy airy quality so essential to superb audio. I don't feel top end is just exaggerated though (at first I got that impression). Tellurium Q was cozy soft and warm and Mad Scientist's are crisp clear snappy and airy. My tube amp and Lascalas thrive with the synergy provided by this change. Highly recommended if looking for clarity upgrade. Like air after a rain storm! clean clear crisp
