Melbguy1, are you going to try both the Rhodium and Gold GTX-D outlets?, if you do, when they burn-in, give us some feed back here on your impressions, Happy Listening.
Misternice, man do I know the feeling of the stereo getting all my money!, you are not alone!, welcome to the endless pit of High-end audio my friend, the thing is with me, I know what i want, get it, done, I do not go the way of the ever spinning merry go round of tring many differnt cables out!, That is where all your money is hitting you hard!, alternatives are futile, you should save more money toward climbing the Tara Labs cable food chain, That is what I do, the return for the price of admission is priceless!, cheers.
I forgot to say,Ive got more music in my system, those thinner cds sound better already.I was hoping,i would lose the brightness from the other pc.Two gtx to come and that's me for the rest of the year.Fuck, excuse the language, this stereo gobbled up 10k this year, bloody thing. These kef ls 50 speakers for just over a k,sucked it all up, and said give me more, without breaking a sweat.Definately good for showing up any weakness and how good your additions are in your system.
Great,I would like to hear them in action,Ive never been to the US.The revelation audio labs precept cable is on the cd player right now,it just arrived.I have to give it the thumbs up,even after the first few minutes.I believe anyone who tries it will not be disappointed. Some glare has gone and its also got a full, sweetness about it.No detail is missing, and good timing.
Hi Misternice, You can contact Devon Scott there at Tara Labs and ask him what cables they will be showing, and at what audio show, he can accomidate your answers you seek, cheers.
Keith .im looking forward to the reviews. Just to know.Chris at vh audio.,went to a California audio show..so did another person I recieved a email from.I wonder if tara labs would have them on show next august. It seems that may be a show worth seeing . California
ok, to all that will ever read this thread, The Review I mentioned in the post above will be absolutly in the october, 2014 issue of Stereophile magazine of the Tara Labs Evolution Zero and Evolution Omega interconnect and speaker cables, I just talked to Stereophile myself for conformation, cheers gentleman.
Hi, I would like to let all of you to know, stereophile is releaseing a review this month or october, give or take, of the new Evolution Zero and Evolution Omega Tara Labs cables, should be a good read, then the Absolute Sound will be following suite of the same cables or The Tara Labs Evolution Grandmaster cable system later in the year between october and december, cheers.
Hi sabai, I have forfeited alot in my life to satiesfy my ocd for good sound, thus, the cables I own!, at times I feel crazy!, but when I listen, I have a smile on my face as big as the Grand canyon here in the u.s.a.!, really, The elrod cables are exspensive to, so I do not understand your point?
Sabai, I have a friend here in mobile,Al that has all top of the line Shunyata z-tron anaconda everything, He listened to my Tara labs Zero Gold and Omega Gold, I almost could not make it out his house with my cables!, The differnce was not subtle!, The shunyatas are great cables, However, The three top models of Tara Labs is a different league, and so is the cost of admission,I do not have exsperience with David Elrod cables, Though, I hear great feed back here on Audiogon for the brand, I admitt, The cost is really crazy for the Three top models of Tara Labs, The Evolution Grandmaster, The Evolution Zero and matching Evolution Omega, Then third in the new line up, is what I have, The Zero Gold and Matching Omega Gold, I do not agree with the pricing, but to get what you want, you have to pay, as it turns out,you get what you pay for!, on another note, I understand your position of your fun,Really, It is Best not to continue frustrating Melbguy1 at this point, you have surely done enough!, Let's just move on!, like I said, you guys can get along, there is so much out there in audio, I bet the both of you can share some common ground if you allow for it, cheers.
Congrats Melbguy1 on the Jorma Statement speaker cables, Awsome!,I suppose I may give the Furutech GTX-D Rhodium a Spinn myself, can always take it out if it is not to my likeing, the presatation of the soundstage is my concern, I do not like a forward sound, nor a to recessed sound, a balancing act so to speak of, that in my opinion is the way live music sounds.
Hi..I bet they sound good..I have Osborne epitome speaker's with bass bins at home in new zealand. But they took over the whole lounge.thats why I thought id go monitors.Hence the ls 50s.Ive wanted the b@w new 800 series speakers for the longest time. And now they are a reasonable price.
Hi hows it all going.Im waiting for my bits to arrive,I couldn't help myself and ordered the gtx rhodium as well.If it doesn't work for me now,im sure it will in the future.Ive decided the kef ls 50 speakers are only temporary in my system.Amazing little speaker they are,Im missing full range speakers.I don't think ill be happy until I have B @ W 802 or 800 speakers for a year or two.I love those killer looks. Not his year, maybe next.
Surely we can have some fun here, can we not? After all, high end audio life is not restricted to serious matters. This breaks up the monotony. I'm sure some members can appreciate a good laugh between all the serious stuff.
Anyway, what about putting in a good word here for David Elrod and Shunyata cables. I believe they can compete with the best of Tara -- system dependent, of course.
Full disclosure: I have no affiliation whatsoever with the audio business except as a customer.
sabai, please stop these Rants of post, this has been a very good thread, if you have problems with any one, I ask you to take it to E-mails instead of polluting this thread with negativity, please respect my wishes here, please!
David, all my tara labs cable models have the 8nines copper, the differnce is the dielctric in the new two top models, my models have been deemed third now, last year, was the top cables when I bought them, they had an 18 year run!, with tweeks along the way to make them better than the last few iratations of them,I have the current models of the Zero gold, Omega Gold, and standard Cobalt power cord with oyaide terminations, cheers.
David, you would have to call Tara labs and ask for Devon scott there for pricing of cables, I do know, however, it is not my place, and Tara Labs asked me not to tell prices but to refer people to them, one good reason is like any other audio out there, there is different pricing from distributors to dealers, to other countries through out the world, LOL!, I would get in way to much trouble for anything like that!, Devon is a nice guy from New york if you know how to deal with the type, I do, anyway, my next power cable is exactly the Tara Labs Evolution Omega power cord!, cheers david.
Hi everyone, Did you guys see the Krell FPB 750 mcx mono blocks that just came up for sale on audiogon?, The asking price is a STEAL!, I know, The Value of my Krell 700cx went up a good bit!, If this guy knew the real value of what he has, He would be getting atleast $17,000.00 for these, They are extremely Rare to EVER see on the used market, how do I know, LOL!, I have never seen any for sale on the used market untill now, or I would have bought these in April 2012 when I had the money!, there is not that much difference in sound, however the sound stage is bigger if you go stock to stock between the monos and stereo version, cheers.
Hi Roccl007, Tara Labs Has just introduced some new power cords that have not yet made it to thier web site, they are the New Cobalt Reference, The New Evolution Omega, The New Evolution Grandmaster power cords, if you need specifics on the specs of these cables other than prices, you can E-mail me, you would have to call Tara Labs for pricing, Welcome to the thread.
Before i use some YAMAMURA 5000 a very good cable i also went to STEALTH cable that i find to be on the lean and bright side except for the digital cable the VARIDIG SEXTET that is pretty good. Most of my cables now are by PURIST AUDIO DESIGN that i am very please with them but from a review the TARA LABS the one (power cable) are doing a very good match with my LAMM power amplifier and i will say toe to toe with PAD....
Thanks for your considerate post. You hit the nail on the head. Melbguy1 is frustrated. It is not pleasant when one member is frustrated and others feel they have to placate him to keep the thread from being ruined. We have seen many instances on the forum where one opinion wishes to dominate the others. IMO, this only causes problems.
As you so rightly point out, we should be here to learn and to share our experiences. Certainly, no one's experiences should be dismissed out of hand, nor should they be denigrated. As I said earlier, there is room for all opinions. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with this point of view.
Sabai, I enjoyed what you have explained about Furutech products, and you are most welcome to this thread, I would enjoy your input here on many matters, However, Please stop frustrating Melbguy1 to continue having a conflict with you on this thread, at this point, it does not matter who is wrong or right, nobody will come to this thread when they read into the conflict at hand, I know I would not stick around to long if I was the reader, I am worse than both of you with conflicts, if you do not believe me, check out the amp threads, Burmester and krell thread, this guy made out that Burmester was the Holy grail of all audio, I lost it, however, I knew when to stop and walk away, in this case here, I want all of you to stay!, just change the subject, I bet if the both of you was to share to each other what equipment you have or like, you and melbguy1 would find common ground to share the love of music and audio with each other, I want to learn from the both of you, nobody knows it all, it's wise to gain knowledge from others to add to what you have is my theory, cheers.
Melbguy1, I took a peak at you Gigawatt power conditioner/surge protector, I believe you made an excellent choice, but by adding a dedicated line and circuit, and plug the Gigawatt to that, the only way is up in performance, this cannot degrade your sound at all, whether it be subtle or more, depends on the equipment and current draw, the main thing with the dedicated line and circuit is that you have seperation from everything else in the house and system which improves your power to be ALOT cleaner, so when you use a ceiling fan, blender, vacum cleaner, etc..., the noise from these products that they introduce into you power lines that are likly daisy chained to each other in the walls cannot effect the dedicated line and circuit, thus, even useing the Gigawatt fine product on the dedicated line and circuit you will have a GAIN in improvement in SQ, Cheers.
