Tannoy Legacy vs Prestige whats the difference?

I've been looking for some time and can't really find an explanation on how these really differ sound-wise.  I have heard the Turnberry GR and loved them but am more interested in the Arden or Cheviot but can't find if these sound much different than the Turnberry or the Prestige line as a whole.  Does anyone have input on this?

Damn, didn’t know this was a tough one.

Here, let’s try this……TEKTON!!!!!!!

Made in China!!!!!!!

Now people can comment.

The lack of response is likely due to not many having heard the Legacy line given its shorter run (in Legacy guise) than the Prestige line.

I own the Legacy Arden if you have any questions I can help with, but I have not heard any of the Prestige line. I've only read one "release" review (hifi pig?) Where a comparison between lines was mentioned.

Tannoy purists will scoff at anything lacking a pepper pot, but I don't subscribe to that newsletter.

If you're in the market for new, and have time to shop, the new Fyne Vintage/Classic lineup looks pretty interesting and cut from the same Tannoy mold...and price point.

I also owned a silver 04 WRX wagon, and wish Subaru would get their sh!t together with that car. The latest plastic clad blob is an abomination.

Hey @yakbob

Yeah I totally get it, with the distribution model they have the speakers aren't everywhere and not as much exposure for people.

I actually went to Upscale and heard the Turnberry and they were amazing!  But they didn't have any of the legacy speakers and didn't have much to say in comparison.

I've heard the Fyne Vintage/Classics might not even make it to the US, the US distributor is thinking they might not bring them in.  The price is also super super high, much more expensive than the Tannoy line.

Hahahaha when I had the WRX it was when I first signed up here 20 years ago!  Had the first bug eye car in the area at the time, it was a lot of fun.  Now I need to change my name to Red911GTSCAB!  The car has upgraded more than the audio! ;)
