And her uncle Santa. Where they use horns actually
Tang Band 2145 in action
Ck out the sunning , sparkling highs.
WOWWW
Hardly need to add a tweeter. = can if you wish. just add any of your fav tweets, + with a simple 2.2 or 3.3 cap.
As I said previously, both the TB2145 ad DLVX8 both are very close in performance.
can't go wrong with either.
Truly a magical sound image.
Jazz fans especially take note of this speaker.
You always wanted life like sound stage, with no added baggage???
'Well the TB2145 has your order.

Maybe put all 4 screws in to make sure you get a solid connection to your baffle. I actually played it thru my stereo to give it the best chance. Not for me For that kind of money you can purchase a good sounding speaker from Caintuck Audio or purchase the wild burro drivers yourself and be able to afford to use all the screws it takes to attach them to your baffle. A much better speaker would be the KEF Ls50 which actually sounds good. https://youtu.be/6uTT1aYQ0Hs?t=73 |
You got me. I'm jealous of your passion and never say die attitude. Your belief that your 40 years of some kind of involvement in audio trumps the at least 500 years of combined experience of the forum members both hobbyist and professional gives me hope . So don't give up! If you say it with enough conviction and repeat it enough times it will become the truth. I don't like the sound of your speakers yet but I didn't like asparagus either but after a while my weird smelling pee made it worthwhile. |
Here are some tidbits of the article linked below: Full-Range Drivers are ubiquitous We all listen to full-range drivers everyday. The smallest are in earphones, cellphones and other devices. Their "one-driver is best" mantra can actually be agreed to even by those non-aligned. Who would not want a crossover-less driver that can do everything? But real conditions are not so simple. Most DIY full-range setups are in some ways, if not woefully, inadequate, not to mention not at all full-range https://cheaptubeaudio.blogspot.com/2019/10/full-range-drivers-audio-nirvana.html Full range crossover speakers as a concept are very desirable and properly implemented quite good. The key is properly implemented. |
