T+A HVEQ room correction software

I have a T+A PA 3100 HV with the APM board and I have gone through the manual room correction but would like to use the T+A HVEQ software using a measurement mic.  I've downloaded the software on to a windows 11 laptop. The HVEQ instructions say to connect the PA 3100 directly to the PC using an ethernet cable.  I have done that and the network lights indicate activity, but the software will not connect to the 3100. When I ping the 3100 IP address from the PC it does not find it. I can't seem to find anyone that has experience with the HVEQ software. T+A USA support is hooking me up to a call from Germany at some point, but I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions?

If your room has issues and the DSP software is good on the unit then you should hear an improvement.

If you use ROON these guys will do a better job (remotely) than the T+A hardware based DSP.

I know next to nothing about DSP, but the APM board on the T+A could be analog, at least the acronym stands for Analog signal Processing Module. I have no idea how this might, or might not differ from DSP.

I do occasionally use Roon, but it's not my main server. That accurate sound functionality does look interesting.

I didn't realize how problematic my room was until I went through the manual version of the T+A room correction. In the end the T+A room correction involves adjusting three parametric bands between 25 and 200 Hz, so not that much control.

You will need an Ethernet crossover cable if you want to connect the two directly and bypass the switch.

Just use the same IP address you used when connecting via the switch and it will work the same as it did with the switch.

Enjoy!

Thanks @rhtowson.   Of course! I forgot all about cross over cables, it's been a very long time since I've had to use one.  Anyways I was able to run the software using the switch and I dont think the measurements suffered form it.
