Haven't compared them to each other, but Atmosphere level 3 are superb, with excellent bass, transparency without edge or glare, and a really nice big deep 3D sound stage.
I have a set of SR Foundation cables (speakers, interconnects, power). I used to believe cables didn’t matter until I borrowed a set of these. I couldn’t order them fast enough. Ink black background and I have high efficiency horns with tube amps. Improved the soundstage and details. My wife noticed the difference immediately. |
@femoore12, Excellent last sentence to finish off your post. Quite classy indeed. I’ll be new to the SR family shortly with one of the new Quantum Purples. Thought I’d start off first with fuses and go from there. |
Not surprised to hear that femoore12. I've been using Synergistic since going back to the 90's. Usually when they come out with a new generation the lowest level of the new is better than pretty high up in the previous generation. In other words a generation is a pretty big step up. I think what happened was they got good enough with Atmosphere to come out with a much more affordable Foundation line and yet still have that "entry level" line be really good. Odds are Foundation are about as good or maybe even better than UEF. I just never compared to know for sure. |
I have the X level 1 after demoing them with the foundation cables. I felt there was a substantial improvement with the level 1 over the foundations. I now have the the entire loom of X’ PC’s and interconnects along with the Powercell 8 UEF SE and a dedicated line. Vast improvement over mix and match |
