SVS speakers (non-sub)?

I am greatly enjoying a pair of their SB-2000 subs in combination with Thiel CS2.4s to augment the extreme low end and am interested in what others have to say about their stand mount and floor standing models. How do they compare to comparable brands at similar price points like Elac and Wharfedale, for example?

Decent for the money, not a steal but not stupidly overpriced. NHT is better and currently is 30% off for the holidays, I know (via forums) a handful of people who have ordered a pair of their C3’s.

I’m not an ELAC fan, but I do like (most) or what I see from Wharfedale.
Theil was at the top when Mr. Theil was alive. After that, not as much, but still very good, better than SVS, in my opinion.

Agreed. Jim Thiel was an speaker engineer extraordinaire and his designs will go down as legendary. I feel fortunate to own a pair and enjoy them immensely every time I drop the needle or hit the play button. Richard Vandersteen's designs are also great and, if I had the funds, would purchase a pair of 5As.

I would go for the Quatro's if I had the money, but my Treo's give me everything I want. I would only consider the Five's if I had a huge room.

I have 2 SVS subs. They work really well ith my Emerald Physics KCIIs, which I highly recommend, and are on sale right now for $1500 including shipping

Prior to getting the EPs, I tried the SVS bookshelf, but it didn't compare to my Wharfedale 10.1 or my Gallo Classicos
