Strange problem w/ Marantz PM84D..need opinion

My tuner is plugged into the switched outlet on my amp. Until now, when I pushed the power button on the amp the tuner would immediately light up as well as the tuner light on the amp and I would get "sound" through the speakers immediately, all at the same time.
Now, for some strange reason, when I push the power button on the amp, the tuner will light up immed as well as the tuner light on the amp BUT there is now about a 4 second delay, at which time I hear a click coming from the rear area of the amp, THEN I get sound from the speakers. There has never been this delay before I get sound. Anyone have any idea whats up with this? Thank you for any help.
