I believe cable auditioning is mandatory. With the 100's of companies fabricating 100's, if not 1,000's of cables, it's difficult to down select to a manageable few cables to audition. Once you do though, I suggest you put Silversmith's Fidelium's <https://silversmithaudio.com/fidelium-cables/> on your audition short list.
Although Jeffrey Smith, Silversmith's owner/designer has been in the business for quite some time, Fidelium's were recently released. For their price, it may be difficult to find something more to your liking. Yet, your equipment interdependencies and your sonic preferences will answer that question. Hence, the importance of auditioning.

NOTE: There also are a couple other professional reviews for the Fideliums -- one that is exceedingly glowing. But those offer just someone else's perspective, when the only important one is yours!
