Sophia Electric is not honest

Sophia Electric tries to portray itself as an American company. As far as I know everything is made in China including their amps and tubes. Be careful in dealing with Sue as she often is less than truthful. Has anyone else had bad dealings with these people?

The confirmation of my derogatory opinion of Sophia came today.after several years of experience with their models of tubes. The tubes all failed within <1 year. I spoke with Sue on each occasion, who was free wheeling with explanation's for their short lives. The latest example was a Sophis rectifier. I’d avoid this brand.

@wfowenmd I understand your frustration but we should avoid condemning a company that produces a whole line of audio electronics just because a Chinese-made tube failed prematurely. All tubes fail, sometimes randomly. And in my experience all Chinese tubes fail more rapidly than others. I won't own or use Chinese-made tubes, partly for reasons of build quality and partly for political reasons. But I know several guys who own Sophia Electric amps and they have provided great, relatively trouble-free service. There are some well-known American and European products that you couldn't say that about - with a straight face.

negative experiences. dishonest in their salesmanship. theyre sellling rebranded shuguang and leftover TJ full music at obscene markups, so that should be no surprise that theyre not too forthcoming about what theyre selling. without the price gouging id have probably given them another shot.
